Anything recent on them?

I would ask about their software, see inside - dllll

[ In Reply To ..]
I accepted a job once from them, wanting to get away from the employee madness from services, and they seemed decent. But when I went to start there were SO many things they wanted you to do on their software that it seemed very time-consuming and that I was basically doing work or bookkeeping or something for them and their clients. I cannot recall now the particulars, but it was very time-consuming. I would ask what is involved in setting up reports and etc. Just information, you can decide on your own. They seemed nice otherwise.

Happy at ScribeRight - justme

I currently work for ScribeRight and have for about 5 years. I have no idea what the above poster is talking about with the "software" and "bookkeeping." You do fill in patient demographics on the platform, but it is a platform similar to Word---nothing complicated about it at all.

Feel free to email me if you would like specifics. I've been very happy (and well paid) at ScribeRight.

I see it is Renton, WA. I think I was wrong, it was a different co.-- - dllll

I think the above poster is correct, I think it was a different company. It was located in Washington state also, but I do not think Renton. The other poster works there and obviously has a much better idea. I was just going by my experience, but I believe it WAS a different company.

Not impressed with their website; too many typos - Just my opinion

[ In Reply To ..]

I have never worked for them, but their website makes me wonder how long they will be around.  They seem to have a problem with proofing.

Yes, I am being nitpicky – I guess it is my passive-aggressive way of getting back at QA when they send reports back to me.  I just have to wonder how a company that prides itself on “accuracy” can miss 7 blatant typos on their website in the “Meet the Team” section.  Makes me wonder how long they keep their clients if no one bothered to proof their website.  If someone made the below errors on their Resume, do you think anyone would even consider offering them a job?  If potential clients see their website, they will have a hard time getting new work, which means the transcriptionists working for them will not have work.

I think in the long-term – I want to be able to have plenty of work for years, not months or weeks.

They may be a great place to work if it is a second or third job, but I would have to think hard about making them my only source of income.

Just my opinion, of course.

The typos I found:

San Diego State Univesity

article published in the "Journal of Aseshthesiology"

speicialization in Linguistics

with their threee children

has a Bachelor of Music in Piano Perfomance and Pedogogy

Wile she was in

What Do You Imply Here? - justme

I have to admit I went to the website looking for the "typos" you listed in your post. Looks like you can't type---certainly didn't copy/paste from their website, as the examples you give are typed correctly on the website. Sour grapes perhaps???

Nice to know the company made those corrections so quickly - Looking for a job

Wow.  I honestly always thought it was an urban myth that “suits” (management, recruiters, owners) hung out on this Board.  After all, they are too busy to bother with us lowly Medical Transcriptionists, and our ranting and raving.  Now there is no denying it.  I know beyond a shadow of a doubt that “suits” come here to read about their companies.  It actually warms my heart that you took the time to not only read my post, but to actually go in and fix the typos on your website.  Kudos to you for working for a company that is proactive when mistakes are pointed out.

So, now that you know I can proofread, how about offering me a job?  By simply sending you a resume, I am just one of hundreds.  However, having you see my excellent skills firsthand, I believe, gives me a leg-up on the rest of the resume senders.

I am more than willing to take any transcription test you feel appropriate, in addition to any other testing you deem necessary.

Please contact me by Email with your requirements.

I look forward to hearing from you.

not a suit - justme
[ In Reply To ..]
I don't have access to changing anything on the website, and I doubt the people who do visit this site, so I guess it's just your nice personality versus mine. I just work for a nice company, and I don't like it when people make statements about them that aren't true. Guess I'm just a loyal worker bee who likes information to be accurate.
I saw the typos yesterday too, they were all as given and so I guess they did change them. - dllll
[ In Reply To ..]
I checked out their website yesterday to see if they were the company I had applied to before, and I saw ALL the typos that the other poster mentioned. So yes, I guess someone from the company with authority to change the website changed the spellings and you owe the above poster an apology. I have not looked at the website today, but I guess from what you say it is changed.
re: - justme
[ In Reply To ..]
Why would I owe the above poster an apology? I said nothing out of line and have nothing to apologize for. I have no access to the website to change any alleged typos, if there were any, which I highly doubt. I only checked the site tonight after it was mentioned and didn't see any. I hadn't seen any before, to tell the truth, and I've seen the site many times before tonight. Are you the prior poster, by chance?
You're calling her a liar. - That sounds pretty out of line to me.

She is not saying you are a suit. She is saying the SM - dllll

people involved with the company saw the post and changed the spellings.

That is what "suit" means. It means management comes on here and sees what is posted or leaves other posts.

re: - justme
[ In Reply To ..]
I know what "suit" means, and she did imply that I was. I'm not new to the board and know how to read between the lines in her sarcastic reply to me. I just hate it when people say something about a company they have never worked for and have no idea of what the company is like. MTs come here for information on a company, and someone who knows nothing first-hand about a company gives an "opinion" that may or may not be valid. Really isn't fair to the good MT companies out there.
just for your info - dllll
[ In Reply To ..]
Justme-- Just for your info--

I saw the typos you referred to as not there. So you were wrong on that. So I guess she knew what she was talking about.

SECOND, This was the company with the proprietary software that I was hired for, which I found out AFTER I looked at the website. I DID NOT post that because I did not want to prejudice the people applying and because the other woman who had worked there for 5 years I believe said she made a lot of money; I thought they should see for themselves.

Thanks

Questions For ScribeRight DMTs
Feb 16, 2012

I have seen a few posts from fellow DMTs on this board (and wish we had the chance to talk while working to ask questions of each other!) and wanted to ask a question of you here on the board.   I have had to send a couple jobs to QA to ask about a med or allergy for which I haven't found a match.  I've noticed the comments are less than complimentary.   Are you finding that comments received from QA are more degrading or condescending rather than helpful?  Or is it just me?  ...

Got A Reply From ScribeRight, Suggestions Anyone?
May 11, 2012

Ok, so I heard some great things about ScribeRight so I sent them my resume via their website. I got a reply back today, asking me a couple simple questions about my skills and also sent 4 files to transcribe (3 sound pretty easy, 1 will be hard for me since I have no experience in that field, Onc). My question is....is it worth it to move? The company I currently work for (and have for many years) is 0.045 SRT/.07 straight typing. My pay scale has consistently gone down the last 2 years (surpr ...

Question For ScribeRight DMTs
Jul 09, 2012

For those of you working as DMTs, are you starting to worry about the scheduled conference call? All of them, it seems have worked hard to be sure things would go well, and we would have work, but this lull is about to do me in. I want to hope for the best, but I am wondering if they are going to let some of us go since they overhired, or let us know the work will either not be coming as scheduled or not coming at all. I guess I am imagining the worst case scenario. What do you all think? ...
