Reputation of a company - state

Posted: Feb 17, 2010

HI, I would like to hear from anyone who has experience with CardioScribe transcription service. If you have worked for the, how well does their performance match their promises? What is their pay range? Do they have steady workloads to keep their employees busy and happy? Is there effective communication from the management to the workers?

Any information would be appreciated. Thanks!

I worked for this company until I quit two days ago. No, there was never enough work. I was also being required to do all of the crappiest dictators, because their new, unskilled, inexperienced transcriptionists (whom they have admitted to hiring right out of school) can only do the easiest work. When I questioned this practice, I was transferred off of my account and told that I had nothing to say about the type of work that I am assisnged, that I should be thankful they trust me with the more difficult dictators. Additionally, each pay period we were required to confirm our line counts, but I was told by one of the Indians in charge that I was not allowed to question the line counts and pay they "give." me. I did not find out until after I was hired that this is an Indian owned and operated company. They have set up shop to a limited degree here in the U.S., but they are definitely owned and operated by Indians. If you don't mind having your income controlled by the need to clean up after their inexperienced staff, you will do great there.

FTR Assures MQs Sparkling Reputation, Sorry, I Don't See The
Apr 02, 2010

connection, I would rather have QA when I am unsure of something.  FTR doesn't make sense to me.  But that's what the winning essay stated, FTR helps MQs sparkling reputation.  How can anyone believe that all of the past years medical transcription has been done, it has been done wrong by having MTs be allowed help with dictation they could not be completely sure of, and not even considering them inferior MTs when they needed that help?  I know I believe t ...

SoftScript, Living Up To Its Horrendous Reputation!

I can't say I wasn't warned about SS, not only in the archives but by an acquaintance who'd worked there for 2 years, leaving a year ago. I took a shot, hoping they had, or were in the process of turning over a new leaf. It turned out to be the worst employment experience in my 20 years 'on the force.' I have never posted here before, often wondering if the gripes here might be limited to a handful of disgruntled employees; they're not & I'm living proof. I ...

Does Rasmussen College Have A Good Reputation In The Medical Transcription Job World???
Mar 07, 2010

Hi everyone, I just graduated from Rasmussen online college with a 2 year degree in medical transcription back in September. I was able to land a brief 2 month job in November but the lady that hired me wasn't a patient trainer and let me go because I wasn't perfect right away and she was very busy as well, backed up in fact. My question is, does Rasmussen College have a good reputation in the medical transcription world? ...

We are a pretty big company, and we think we know what transcriptionists want, but it doesn't hurt to ask.  There are a lot of top people in our industry that are finding themselves without jobs, often without notice, both managers and transcriptionists.  I think that the tide is turning, and that we need to make sure that we treat our people right, so if you could take a few minutes and answer this, maybe we can make a difference.  I am asking for real answers, ones that ar ...

Looking For A Company With No ASR And All USA
Nov 18, 2009

I have over 30 years in this field and it seems that a lot of companies are either cutting the MT's pay to edit on ASR and/or are offshoring work out to India, Pakistan, Philippines, etc.  I don't believe in sending our jobs overseas, and I've also given ASR at whirl (a long whirl lol) and I still couldn't increase my lines per hour to compensate for the cut in pay that I had to take by doing ASR.  So what I'm looking for is a company that does not do ASR, do ...

What Do You Look For In A Company?
May 14, 2010

I will begin my job search in a few short months after graduating from M-Tec. Reading the company board has been an experience with all the negativity, but everyone has different experiences with a company and entitled to their opinion. What would you consider a "red-flag" that would make you turn away from a company? No this isn't a school assignment or anything ...
