Okay, this is getting ridiculous. Who can delete messages besides the moderator? - anonymous for now

I posted twice on this board asking specific questions. Both were deleted. Why? I recieved no message from the moderator, so what's going on? Can anyone answer?

Anyone who posts can delete their own posts. Any replies under that deleted post will be deleted too. So if you reply to a post to ask a question and the post you replied to was deleted, whether by the poster or the moderator, then your post will be deleted as well. Does that help?

In the last couple of days, I've had posts that appear at the top in the Today's Top Viewed, yet when you click on them you get that single post but none of the rest of the conversation. There have been a couple where the OP said they didn't delete them, they don't show up anywhere else as moved, and no email ever shows up as saying they were moderate removed. Maybe some posters picked very random passwords (like password or 12345) and somebody is just having one deleting them.

Right now, any poster can enter a password for their post and then edit or delete it at a later time. If a post is deleted, all replies are deleted with it.

If the post is removed by the Moderator, an email is sent to the email address of the poster stating the reason. The replies will be deleted, however, without any notice.

I don't mean to jump in here, as I really have nothing to contribute along these lines, but the email function through this site does not appear to be working. I tried sending an email to someone below, as well as they tried sending to me, and it does not work. This may apply to the moderators sending out email notices, as well. Please check into this as a possibility.

P.S. this would also mean that any applications to potential employers through this site would not be reaching the employers, either. It could be the reason why so many are not getting responses to their applications, as well. (just a thought).

but I had tried sending an email to someone below: (under the AssistMed question)and both the OP and I had tried emailing each other and niether received an email. It was not in my spam folder and just never came through. I believe others are not receiving or able to send emails either. So if the general email does not work, then I would assume that the emails to potential employers does not work either. I have seen many complaints about no response from companies and this could be a reason why. I just thought I would mention it in case there is a problem. I have also seen some potential employers on the job board say that they never receive emails through this site and then include an email address where they can be reached directly. Hopefully somebody will address this situation.

There are plenty of companies who advertise jobs here that include their email addresses in their postings because in the past they have stated that if one uses the email function from this site, they'd learned they hadn't received them. Some of the new companies may not know this.

I don't know if this is still the case or not, as I'd seen those company posts probably 1+ years ago; however, I keep it in mind when I'm looking for an MT job. I always take note of the company, search their website on Google, find their contact info/email, and apply that way rather than using the email feature here.

No diss on MT Stars, this is a very helpful website overall, but they really should look into the email issue, if indeed it still exists.

Every so often when I press the delete key, it zooms through the report and deletes every character past where the cursor was located. Once everything is gone, the hour glass keeps flashing, the cursor no longer works, and I have to shut down the program and lose all of the material deleted. I have lost entire reports when going back to the beginning and trying to edit something. Any ideas on how I can stop this from happening? ...
