Nuance benefits? - MT

Posted: Jun 21, 2011

Can someone please tell me what the cost of benefits are for a single person? Also, do you have 401K matching or anything like that? How much vacation after 5 years of employment? Thanks!

I'd also like to know the basics of their medical insurance (PPO? and - Copay/deductible?) and single premium. Thank you.

Single person with just medical is $625. Dental is another $140. Single plus one was about $785 they quoted me for. I feel bad for the people looking for the family pay. It's insane and I ended up going to a private insurer instead, much cheaper.

But what do you pay per pay period toward these? Thank you! nm - MT

Family coverage with dental was over $1000 per month. If it's deducted per pay period, you're easily looking at $500 per check.

I wasn't even making that much when I quit.

Yup, you're right. I felt so terrible for the people with family coverage because there was no warning when the new insurance policy began.

Does the employee pay the entire $650? - Thank you! nm

The 6 designated holidays are not part of your PTO hours, nor are they paid out if you do not work the holiday. The holiday designation means that if you work on any of the 6 holidays, you are eligible for a 25% premium for the lines produced during that day.

5+ years of employment PTO tops out at 112 hours, assuming FT status.

Minimum quality score 99%.

Family coverage (employee pays per pay period): min $425 - $480. Dental is an extra $27 per pay period.

This was accurate as of Feb 1, 2011.

(This post will self-destruct in 5 seconds.)

That's pretty lousy. Thank you for posting. sm - MT

The holiday designation alone equals hundreds, if not thousands, of dollars for me per year as I tend to work them to get the extra pay.

I'd be curious to know the rate at which PTO accumulates for employees who have been with the company 5+ years.

Insurance -- I had to read your post twice because those costs are just outrageous per PAY PERIOD. Ouch! It'd just be me on the insurance, so hopefully much less, but those numbers are definitely concerning.

Thank you for sharing.

A $2,500 deductible for individuals? Are you nuts? $5,000 for families? Are you going to give us ANY paid holidays? Or are you going to make it so we no longer get any paid holidays just like the rest of your poor employees? As a publicly traded company, you should be ASHAMED to be offering your employees such lousy benefits. And thank you, Webmedx losers at the top who sold our company to one that is obviously going to make our benefits even more unaffordable in addition to sending a portion ...

I have never seen such a disorganized operation. We've been getting forms periodically emailed. Many forms don't have adequate instructions on where they're supposed to be sent. State tax forms haven't been sent to everyone as they should have been. Some employees haven't even gotten news about what they'll be paid next year, and yet they're expected to choose benefits without knowing what they'll be earning. This has been incredibly stressful and unneces ...

Okay.  Let's face it everybody, we don't qualify for the benefits because we are not being laid off.  We are not being laid off because MQ hasn't said anything about laying us off.  I have a call in the HR, and expect to get an answer today, but do you really think MQ is just going to start giving out letters saying we are in fact going to be laid off?  Don't think so.  Everybody, STOP.  Stop hoping for benefits that will retrain us.  I' ...

Loss Of Benefits

Okay, I may be dense, the rest of you may have figured this out long ago!  Many times I see comments here about people who cannot get enough work.  Well, at my company, if there is a low volume of work and you cannot meet your line count you are placed on part-time status and cannot regain full-time status until you have met your commitment for 90 days.  Yes, you lose your benefits....your health insurance, paid holidays, dental/vision, etc.  Well, heck, look at the money the ...

Health Benefits

As June is approaching us, I suggest that anyone who has health benefits appeal to upper management (I emailed Vern and got a decent reply) to please consider better benefits.  They way they are now, if you are a single parent with young children, this plan could be catostrophic in a way worse than if you had no benefits or job to speak of.  I am not single nor have young children but am currently in debt of over 2,000 to a health provider.  I will probably still be paying it off when we use ...

401K/benefits
