Mitchem Consult (MCN) - CJ

Posted: Jan 05, 2011

I have been looking for work as a newbie MT and was contacted by Tonya with Mitchem Consult (MCN).  Has anybody ever heard of them?  If so, would you recommend them as a first job?  I know it will take me time to build up my speed, but I want to work.  I find a web site for them, but wanted to know if anybody has ever worked for them or even heard of them!

Low pay @ .06 cpl if you are lucky - no platform to work in - everything is downloaded to a voice file and typed into a word document per patient. then you have to email attachments as well as upload on a web site - way too much work for such little pay and that is if you even get paid - oh you will get your first check but after that....

I do general transcription too so the downloading, uploading and attaching are all something I'm used to having to do, but the rate is a concern for me. Because I'm a newbie, I thought I could at least get some experience so I can go after the better jobs.

I also do not like the "mailing the check" thing so that was a red flag for me too! If there's anything specific you can share, please e-mail me at choff10031@hotmail.com because I like doing my due diligence before I commit to something.

Just to clarify about Mitchem Consult, yes the amount of pay is 0.6 cpl. We have different accounts that we work on, some use a platform, some do not, it basically depends on which account you may be working on. We have never, nor will we ever, email attachments. We do upload and download work using a secure FTP site when working on accounts that do not include a platform. I can give you a list of people, who have and do still work for me who has NEVER missed a payday. All checks are mailed to ICs upon pay by the client, which none of my clients have ever been late paying and neither have I. Whomever wrote this reply, it is evident why you remained anonymous.

DO NOT WORK FOR TONYA MITCHEM
Jun 29, 2012

I can't believe what just happened to me.  I answered the ad for RAD STAT.  Tonya hired me.  I started working at 8 p.m. Friday night.  I jumped right in without any EMDAT/inscribe training.  I worked for three hours straight doing 40 reports without any training.  The last 10 reports were difficult as I didn't have ALL the samples.  She also said she would jump in and help me.  I texted her and told her there was 8 minutes left on the system.&nb ...

I'm fairly certain the rest of the paragraph is corre ...

Question- Order Of Headings In Consult/H&P
Aug 26, 2012
