ChartNet Transcrption platform--opinons please! - Moving On

Posted: Jul 13, 2011

Hi, I just received an offer that involves straight transcription on the ChartNet system. If any of you currently use this platform and would offer me your opinion on it, I would greatly appreciate it. Is is slow? Clunky? Are there are lot of screens to switch through? Do you have to enter patient demographics?

Thanks so much in advance for taking the time to respond!

I have worked on ChartNet with a couple of companies. - Fingers

It all depends on how it is programmed for your particular account. If it has been programmed to populate all demos simply by the client putting in the Medical Record number, great. If not, it can be a pain if all info is not given by the doctor. I have done it that way, but the process was so easy that I did not mind.

I have done the straight transcription on ChartNet 2 different ways, and I also use it for VR. The one that is shared with the VR is the most cumbersome because you have to format the text of your notes/letters the same way the VR does. It certainly doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure it out.

I have worked on a couple of other platforms, and I have always liked ChartNet the best, as it can bring in the demos for you if your company uses it that way. The copies are easy as pie too. We were simply given manuals to look through, with very little explanation needed. Given it 2 weeks and you will not want to use anything else.

Love Chartnet! - Becky

I have been on Chartnet for almost 2 years, straight transcription, and it is very user friendly. I'm not very technically inclined, and I have never had a problem or had to call for help. My company does twice monthly updates that knocks us off for an hour, but whatever they are doing is working because it's a great platform!

Platform - Chartnet Or WebchartMD
Nov 15, 2013

If you have used both platforms, which one do you like better? Which is more user friendly? Which has more functions? Also if you are familiar with it from the perspective of working in a facility that accesses their files through Chartnet or WebChartMD, which is easier and more user friendly for the doctors or clinic/facility to access their files for electronic signature, etc.? Also, if any MTSOs want to chime in if they have used either or both, interested in hearing their thoughts too ...

Chartnet Platform Versus Chartscript
Mar 02, 2011

My company just switched us over to the Chartnet platform.  I don't like it and I'm sure not seeing what all the excitement was about.  I was able to make 320-350 lph on Chartscript and yesterday I ended the day with about 200 lph on Chartnet.  I am a glass half full person so before I come to the conclusion that management just hyped this platform to try and keep us enthusiastic and on board for a smooth transition, could somebody tell me what features about Chart ...

How Does A Recruiter Grade The Carer Step Transcrption Part Of The Test
Sep 07, 2011

Dear Fellow Transcriptionists: I have taken the skills test given by Career Step I found out, for a company this past weekend and did great on the medical terminology part of the test, but did not pass the actual transcrption part of the test.  I am wondering if I did not pass it because I left blank spaces for the foreign dictators.  Can you give some advice as to how they grade these tests.  Thank you. Opinons Please
Feb 15, 2012

Good morning everyone!  I have searched the boards, but I wanted to see what opinions I could get right here.  I received my certificate in MT in 2007.  I worked for MQ right out of school, but left when things started getting ridiculous (60 different accounts a day).  I then went to a small MTSO, but left there in 2008 when I was pregnant with my third child.  I haven't worked as an MT since.  I worked as an editor/proofreader for the last 3 years until the co ...

ChartNet - Thank You!
May 21, 2010

I posted a couple of weeks ago asking for everyone's input on ChartNet.  Everyone posted positively and, as usual, you were right.  It's a great platform, really easy to learn and VERY MT-friendly.  I also got lucky and the dictators are excellent, too, so the whole experience has been wonderful.  Thanks to all who reassured me and to anyone else wondering, yes, ChartNet is the bomb! ...

If This Is Possible In ChartNet ?
Jul 15, 2011

I have been using ChartNet for a few weeks now.  My training was really brief, so I still have a lot to learn.  With the way we do the headers (cnt-N) and subheaders (cnt-shift-N), there doesn't seem to be any way to paste large sections into the report to include headers and/or subheaders.  I did that a lot in DocQscribe, and it sure did help my line count not to mention my hands and wrists when I could copy and paste large sections into certain reports, especially with things like card ...

What's Up With Chartnet?
Mar 17, 2014

Why is it that every time Chartnet has an update, things end up worse than before?  Stuff that used to work doesn't work right anymore.  And it doesn't accept 1-letter abbreviations.  My biggest peeve with this is that I have to manually capitalize the word "I" and I didn't have to do that before.  So annoying.  When something works, don't fix it.   I used to love Chartnet but now it's really starting to bug me.  They keep saying they w ...

Chartnet And M-Modal?

A Question About ChartNet
Jul 19, 2012

Once in a while I mistakingly save a file before the voice file is done. I put in my first password in and then it tells me the voice file was not finished and all I can do is answer "OK" in the box. What I want to know if there is a way to go back and finish the file? The only thing I can do is split the file as if there was a separate dictation on the same voice file. Anyone have any ideas? ...
