Anyone out there working for Synernet - Justanumber

Anyone out there working for Synernet who has also worked for other companies? I was an IC before joining Synernet a few years ago. They are paying me .7 cpl, no flexibility unless per-diem and then per-diems still have to work 2 holidays a year, lots of vaca time but can't use 2 weeks in the summer until I've been there 10 years, management impossible to get response from regarding any type of question, just got thrown into weekend rotation, etc. After looking at boards I see that many other MTs are complaining about only making 8-9 cpl. Now I feel the fool for being paid only .7 cpl this long. Anyone have experience working for Synernet as well as other companies who compare their experiences?

I know someone working independent contractor for 6.5 cents a line, but she knows her stuff well and had over the years made many templates and hardly has to do repetitive key strokes or learn new ELS or difficult American doctors every other day. She actually makes more than me sometimes at 0.9 cents a line, 4.5 cents VR, but more of the time our checks are comparable.

Well, that does make me feel a bit better from a pay standpoint. I have loads of templates and am familiar with the docs who for the most part are easy with very few ESL. Also, we get extra line count for harder docs. I guess I really am not the bottom of the pay barrel after all!

I was paid 8 cpl when I worked for them. But when I was told I could not have diarrhea because it took too much time away from the desk (I kid you not), then even got a dr note and presented to them, and they insisted if I was sick in the day I had to come at night and work, I left. That was on top of all the micromanaging, left hand not knowing what the right one was doing, and a little too much cliquishness for me.

The only good thing was the benefits.

Yup, nothing has changed. They wouldn't let a girl take an hour off of her shift to attend her sister's funeral unless she made it up. I got written up for being sick but I would have gotten written up for a bad line count if I tried to throw-up and type at the same time (I had never called out before either). You described them perfectly.

I have an interview with them coming up. They seem like they have a good reputation and the benefits look really good. One thing I am wondering about them is just how flexible are the schedules? For example, right now I am able to work a regular 2nd shift position with no problem (I currently work 2nd shift and prefer it to other shifts), but when school starts my kids will have sports and Girl Scouts and Cub Scouts and I have to take them to their meetings. I just applied at Synernet and took their test. It was pretty easy. Has anyone ever worked for them? How is the pay? It says in the ad that they have excellent benefits. Are they fairly flexible as far as scheduling? Any feedback would be appreciated. They sure sound like a decent company! ...

First the dire email: Mandatory OT by end of week with at least 2 hours on Saturday. Just forget if you had plans for the weekend. Say what time you will be working and have to work those hours and put who okay'd those hours on your timesheet (you might lie you know). So you do that because you want to help the company out and it's nice to have OT again. I am applying for a job with Synernet and will be testing tomorrow. Can anyone tell me approximately how many lines I'd need to type a day to make... lets say 80-85 dollars a day? Just curious, I'm trying to decide between a few companies and I totally forgot to ask the interviewer. I think the whole VBC thing is criminal. It's bad enough not being paid for all of the research, demographics and CCs we do, but to not pay for characters that we actually type just because they don't print out in black and white is OUTRAGEOUS!!! ...
