Any recent Oracle/OTI experiences? - 40Dogs

Does anyone have any recent experience with Oracle? Hate to ask such a loaded ?, as there is always good/bad experiences. Do they really just let you get on and work anytime you feel like it as an IC as long as you meet line requirements? Sounds great schedule wise. How is there system? Is it all through the Internet or do you need a phone line for some sort of C-phone? Do they provide the word expander or short hand program? Work load...is there always work? Any info would be appreciated.

Been with them quite a while and until about the last four months, almost always had work. Yesterday I had two jobs. I've asked for other accounts and have been told there is not anything. I think they went through a big hiring last year and there are too many MTs. I'm having to look for a second job and I'm not even getting part time line counts. I was very happy with OTI until the last 4-5 months.

Seems to be the case at all these companies! Overhiring lower paid MTs.
Was considering MedQuist...but by the posts on here a little leary. I'm new to MTStars...was curious why Medquist has their own Navigation section on here.

I have had horrible experiences with 2 companies in the past few months that I thought were different and would turn out much better than most medical transcription companies out there. Gosh, I wonder how you all have time to write so many posts? I have worked for ProScript since January 2009 and have had nothing but good experiences with them. The pay plan is comparable to other companies. Perhaps those complaining have not worked anywhere new in the last year or two. I haven't had much work for months. Since last summer actually. Can never make minimum. I have another part-time job so I'll survive, and I do like that company on a whole, but there has been NO WORK. They keep promising new accounts that never happen. Is it just me? Sounds like a pretty reasonable place to work. Hardly ever read any posts here about them so I assume, no news is good news and their employees must be fairly content.
