Any current info on Precyse? How about the platform - productive? SM - GaMT

Also how about the benefits, especially insurance - do you feel they are a good deal for the price? Do you feel the way the PTO adds up is beneficial to the MT? Does anyone know anything about the account that they are hiring for right now? Thanks for anything you care to share.

I don't know too much about their medical insurance, other than they recently dropped Aenta and switched over to United Healthcare. The price for the MTs I think is probably comparable to other companies.

They also recently changed the way they calculate PTO and the amount of PTO that an MT receives is based on the number of lines they produce. Which is okay in and of itself, but it's difficult to get a decent line count (see ASR below).

Their platform is called PrecyseType, which is basically a variation of DocuScribe. And it's a good platform, but with one major caveat. Most of their work (what little of it is kept here in the USA) is ASR. They have very little straight or traditional transcription. So if you are offered a job, plan on the lower amount that you're offered for the ASR work as being your pay.

The biggest problem is their ASR program. It's not very good. Over time, I worked on about eight different accounts and their ASR was just as bad on all of them. It makes many many mistakes and you will really be working for your money in editing the reports. So, it's extremely difficult to get any kind of speed up and end up getting any kind of a decent line count.

Just like any company, there's always going to be one bad apple here and there, but for the most part, the people there (management, team leads, etc.) are nice and easy to work with. Except for the fact that over the weekends, they are only staffed with their managers in India.

I have been invited to test with Precyse.
