I owned a transcription company for 20 years and sold it 5 years ago. I make more money as an MT, sad to say. After taxes and minimum wage and benefits and accountants and payroll fees and bank fees and everything else, it wasn't worth it. Then I sold it to one of the big ones and what a mistake. All of my MT's and clients are gone and the money I was paid mostly went to the government. It's not as easy or as lucrative as everyone seems to think. I also worked 15 hours a day for pennies. Never again.
