and, ultimately, intentional sabotage. It's an old-school management style that we all experienced back in grammar and middle school, where the teacher punished the whole class for the misdeed of one student. Nothing works better for instilling mistrust, jealousy, paranoia and anger between students or workers.
When you figure the managers that still use this ancient management style most likely spent a lot of years in college and/or business school to land those management positions, you've got to wonder what on earth those schools are teaching.
