My understanding is that it is illegal for any company to mandate overtime and that overtime can never be *required*.
I personally have NEVER done "mandatory overtime" even though it is called for in my POD every week. Not even once. I've never gotten any kind of a reprimand, email, or question about it so maybe there is some truth to its legality.
Remember - this company will BULLY you into everything. They will make you feel like what they are demanding is non negotiable even when it is illegal. MModal has a long ... long ... LONG ... history of skating the edge of legality and has even crossed that line a few times in its long, unethical life.
