I was hired on at TTS for an account the facility wanted back from India (Nuance) to be transcribed in US. Everything was going great - until QA changed about November of last year. My scores went from about 99% average down to 95% at time, and then I was put back on the re-training thing. I had strong disagreement with what they thought were critical errors - at least in part. 25+ years experience as an MT - my first experience editing. I really love escription! However, once that QA person came and all of that re-training and salary dropping as a result of that. So, I went to Wal-Mart to cashier - at TTS that was a lot of stress and feelings of constantly falling short for the low salary that they pay - and YES - I agree - they are almost one of the lowest in the industry. I have a friend who works for M-Modal and makes 4.5 cents per line - that makes a HUGE difference.
