Thickening of the distal colon - sw

I'm working on an audio from a bariatric surgeon. He's talking about a woman's abdominal CT and he says "...it looked normal. She did have some (s/l hostule) thickening of the distal colon..."
Any help is most certainly appreciated!
May not make sense, but - haustral or hostile??

It is haustral and that is - not guessing.

[ In Reply To ..]Not knowing the patient's history nor other information about the findings, having something look "hostile" is NOT utter nonsense. Have you never heard a doctor describe an abdomen, a liver, a pancreas, a colon or a whatever as angry or hostile? In this case, it would mean severely inflamed and/or infected.

...duplex studies that were done on him confirming proximal disease and I think he probably has distal disease and runoff diseaese to go with it. He is a known diabetic, was a heavy smoker and so I would expect "distalces" to be quite advanced. This is a very clear-speaking doctor...not foreign, so it could not be "this disease"... ...
