I have over 30 years experience. I have worked in 2 major hospitals and as an independent contractor. I know what I am doing. Problem is, I am human. I make mistakes. But with this company, 1 mistake is huge. It can bring your accuracy score down below their guidelines. Just for a left out word that does not change the context. I have just about had enough. I really don't have to be talked to like a toddler when I make a mistake. Think I'll be looking for a new home soon.

change the context of the sentence. Refuse it and ask for reversal. I have and I've gotten reversals if it truly does not change the meaning of the sentence.

Above poster is correct to suggest asking for a reversal. Apparently, if a petty, nit-picking QA gets enough complaints/reversals, she will be more closely monitored herself(and get a well-deserved taste of her own medicine!) Though time-consuming to request a reversal, all MTs should do this each and every time they are graded unfairly.

See that is just what I mean by this is one stupid-arse company. Seriously? for "the" not being there it was points taken off. What a bunch of BS this company is about. Its a good thing you did not make a mistake with a real medical word but hey who cares? They don't. Just worry about "the" in front of a word and get docked. Sooooo glad I am soooo gone.

Just keep putting out your best work, it's not crap, and don't let anyone make you feel like it is, especially when you know you're doing good work. Ask for the reversal. Stand up for yourself. No one else will.

I have one who apparently has way too much time on her hands. She likes to leave me little comments even when there is no error, just to show her superiority to me. For example, serial number of a pacemaker, she enlightened me that she thought it was a "B instead of a V, but there was nothing in the report to confirm that." Really, what exactly is the purpose of this comment, and since I don't get paid to check FIESA, reading comments like this, which are just a waste of time, really aggravate me.

She gets paid by the hour, condescension is what QA gets as their bonus. NM - anon

I graduated a year and a half ago from a very good MT school. I graduated with high honors and felt ready to tackle this profession. Is it worth purchasing the BOS 3 before I start testing? If I take the CMT test the goal is to increase my income from my current earnings as a full time MT/ME. But is it worth the $$ and time required to prepare for and take the CMT test? I am confident that I would have no problem passing the test after adequate review, etc. So is it worth the effort? Just wondering if it is worth it to test up to tier 3 or not. I wouldn't mind getting more in my work pool (especially as things have been a bit slim lately with the holidays), but had heard there was no pay increase for moving up a tier, plus was worried that I'd have to spend more time in research for the first while getting used to the new work, hence slow production down.
