well, I have now begun to experience the petty QA dings. A lab value "of" vs lab value "is", and removal of a comma. And in one report, three terms that are easily found were blanked as if QA did not know what they were. Well I knew! Man, I am so glad I am out of here.

I just posted below about Fiesa. I have been taking it with a grain of salt since it started, but I have had enough. I can't imagine who or how they came up with this quality assurance program, but it is really silly. I have decided that I will not check it from now on and just see what happens.

I don't even bother looking in FIESA anymore, let alone the "major" error emails I get. FIRE ME...I would make more on unemployment! Thank GOD I start a new "paid by the hour" job the end of this month!

All it does is tick you off. I just log in, work to make a buck, and log out. I also do not work "mandatory" hours and I especially do not work OT. I have been job hunting since I started here.

We did the same speakers every day, same reports every day, made the same errors over and over. I get an urgent 1 point error about a dr I've done once in my life, have not done since, will probably never do again. I enjoy learning something new every day, but my brain can hold only so much information. The fact that (and these are made up names, although not far off from what I am exposed to ) Dr. Extreentuiyx is the signing physician for Dr. Vloopixxy is not something I can be bothered to remember, especially if the speaker himself refuses to fill that in in the report or even dictate it.

But according to an online dictionary, "nit picking" is the act of removing nits (the eggs of lice, generally head lice) from the host's hair.

Hopefully you get a chuckle from this.

to prevent you from getting a bonus. They could care less if you somehow "learn" something from this. This is totally about greed. Many sociopaths run companies, did you know that? Very unfortunate it has come to this.

They feel they have us on lockdown.. stuck between a rock and a hard place. I'm hoping eventually the tide will turn and enough people leave the industry so that the ones who stay become valued again.

I'm very excited to venture out of the home, moving in a direction I will be appreciated by someone and feel I have a purpose. I have a friend who is a nurse who wants to get into medical transcripting. Since she has a lot of background, she doesn’t think it would take her long. I had a bad experience with the company that trained me, so I was wondering what you guys would recommend for her? Do you know of any companies that train then give live work or know of a low-cost school?I let her know that most companies require 3 years experience, so do you know of anyone who hires fresh MTs?Thanks in advance! ...

Here's my dilemma. QA/audit/whatever says that Alzheimer disease is the proper usage. Webmd, Mayo, NIH, and the disease webites, alz.com Alzheimer's website says it is Alzheimer's disease. Same thing with Parkinson's (pdf.org), Crohn's (CCFA.org) etc., etc. Always the apostrophe regardless. What is everyone else doing and have you been corrected one way or the other? ...

I know and accept the fact (albeit grudgingly) that ASR and offshoring are the wave of the future, but do you think that as the economy improves that things will cycle and what we do will once again become valued with the recognition of our value being reflected in higher salaries? A few weeks ago, for no reason that I can find, I cannot get the first letter of a sentence to be in all caps automatically, (unless I do it manually.) The same for the letter " I " by itself when typed. It was always automatic and now all of a sudden it is doing this and I cannot figure out how to change it back. Has anybody else had this problem, if so, how did you fix it? Thanks, appreciate the help ...
