Every company that I have worked for has been taken over by Nuance, so while I am not happy with Nuance, I have a job and its paying me crap to work it, but at least I still have a job. Which is probably what Nuance wants while top dogs are making a lot of money at our expense, they know we are "stuck" just trying to make money to take care of our families, the little bit that we do make.

If I say I am happy at Nuance, I will get flamed within an inch of my life, trolled, insulted, accused of being an a$$kisser, a suit, etc., told I am a liar.

I think the QA/QC is grossly unfair.
I think the pay stinks.
I like my TL.
I like my account.
I like the platform.
So I am not ecstatically happy with it but it's tolerable.

I agree with you, I am "happish" lol! I like my TL, account, and platform, but for my first paycheck I made in two weeks what I used to make in one day. Stinks is not the word, I am heading for forclosure at the speed of light. I need to type at least 2000 lines a day, but there is no way right now and QA is on me like white on rice.
That not just with Nuance...thats anywhere on these - boards.

This is kind of ridiculous.
The so-called "happy and successful" MTs are "flamed" and "trolled?"
Is it possible that when you state how great your job is and how happy you are that there is inevitably some snarky comment about those who aren't happy having some fatal character flaw?
I agree that people can get a wee-bit touchy on this board, but it is a 2-way street. Trolls seem to come with the big ol' smile just as much as with a grouchy scowl.
My opinion...from someone who's staggered around the - block a few times...

I believe that, in sum, Nuance is no better and no worse than the rest of the nationals. By "in sum", I mean that one company will be a bit better or worse in some respects than another company, but viewed in total these don't amount to any real differences - they're merely distinctions.
And any Nuance executive reading the foregoing paragraph should (but probably will not) understand that it amounts to a stark condemnation of the company - and in particular a condemnation of its leadership.
It is nothing less than a declaration of executive ineptitude because it predicts that Nuance will continue to be mired in the competitive mudhole where mediocre companies battle clumsily for position while their feet continually slide out from under them.
Executive ineptitude, because they incur enormous unnecessary costs while trying to earn pennies in profits. These costs are directly related to their gross mismanagement of their production resources - meaning their MTs. They suffer unnecessary turnover, incur added recruitment and training costs, lose institutional knowledge every time another MT hits the door, and...
...they don't have a real clue about why clients are perpetually dissatisfied. And if you don't think Nuance is constantly hearing from their clients, you're mistaken.
Inept management of production resources.

Not valuing employees is a very common mistake by so many companies and they usually don't figure it out even when they go down the tubes.

I actually could live with the money, if the QA/QC was better, more consistent and, well, fair.
That is my ONLY complaint about Nuance.
