Has anyone had an account switched to - EMR with no notice?

I have to wonder if that's what is happening on Enterprise at the moment. Honestly, the OOW is shocking. You can't claim holiday slowdown when the holiday was almost 2 weeks ago, can you?

I always remember 4th of July being slow, but really it's just the beginning of June, so what is this going to be, months of nothingness in the beautiful summer weather, sitting in front of your monitor 12 hours a day waiting for work all day and night?

Sick to death of OOW, sick of flexing all hours.

Also sick of FIESA. I want to write in the I-made-a-booboo-so-I-deserve-a-pay-cut shaming box they make you sign: "Thanks, QA, for helping Nuance cut my pay!"

Not really their fault? Maybe, but it is what it is, and they don't spare our feelings (or our pay for that matter), so I feel I have a duty to remind them they are tools of Nuance's wage theft.

...to work for them! Preying upon unsuspecting MTs, who are counting on a steady source of income, has been going on since Nuance started buying up hospital accounts and smaller MTSOs. It is indeed, why they exist! They use MTs to put other MTs out of work in the hospitals, then they end up putting you out of work as well.

I have not seen Enterprise this dried up ever. I wish upper management would have the balls to let us know what is going on but that will happen when hell freezes over and maybe not even then.

Me either. Then they have the balls to ask for 2 week notice when someone decides to leave. Are you kidding me? The only notice we get is when we sit here day after day for hours waiting for work and then at the end of the pay period, we are borrowing to eat and keep a roof over our heads! This company cares ABSOLUTELY NOTHING about us!!

An account I worked on went to Epic. It took the supervisors by surprise to. We all saw the volumes decreasing but there was no explanation for it until tada, the hospital no longer needed the services of Nuance. I asked my supervisor about it at the time, specifically about the lack of notice on the change and she mentioned that the way hospitals use it can vary. Some completely eliminate transcription and some use it in conjunction with transcription.

Another possibility though is that the accounts could be going completely offshore. Another account I was on that happened and the supervisor was not any more aware of what was happening until she was told to call the MTs on the account and inform them they would be moving to another account. I remember that supervisor was livid.

I think sometimes the TSMs are caught completely off guard and are unaware of changes. Conversely, there are most definitely times they have known far ahead of time of big changes and they don't say anything. I get that they probably can't. Still, bombs drop and then they do their rah rah thing and act as if they didn't know when they most certainly did. That's part of why this "team" mentality they tout is such a joke. Everyone above us on the food chain keeps the MTs in the dark. Lies and deceit are a huge part of the Nuance MO.

So when the news finally drops we feel like they are on our side. But they're not.

If they were (TSMs and those who actually get paid for 8 hours even if there is no work), they might think, for just five seconds, how it feels to have a scheduled shift you have worked for years and basically there's maybe 1 hour in it a day FOR 2 WEEKS.

How it feels to be forced to wait and scratch and try to scrabble for the small amount of work that's left in an effort to get your hours, and you are always short. Short hours, short money.

Then you look at the emails and realize because you put he instead of she or got the age 1 year off or some other stupid piddling thing, your pay has been cut as well, so now not only are you short hours, you get paid crap for those hours.

I am just getting so incredibly angry lately.

How is this a job when there's never any work?

I could be commuting to a full time job an hour each way a day and I still would be spending less time door to door than I do sitting in front of this stupid computer.

I still love the actual job when there's work, and I love working from home, but we are good employees and we work hard, we really don't deserve to be treated like we're disposable.

Less and less work on Enterprise. Hard to even get in part-time hours. Ridiculous.

Good line rate to start (10 cpl) on straight typing, but the account with all that straight typing has gone away and now I'm getting only VR editing (4 cpl) on a different account.
