I think it is strange because it went from daily dings from FIESA the last few weeks have been completely silent.  They went from auditing so many reports to auditing maybe 2.  Today however I all of a sudden got 3 post audits all done at the same time and of course got picked apart as usual.  i was told by my TL that it had to do with FIESA changes but no way will it better us.  What have they ever done that has benefited us in the long run.  They are only out for their own backside.  I need to sign up for their insurance but was told I had to wait until October to do it, but now may just hold off and change to being full time with my part time company and take out their insurance and change Nuance to part time depending on what is coming

I checked my fiesa last night and got dinged for not putting an s on nitrate in the lab data. I mean how picky is that? I hope it didnt kill any patients.

I hope you understand how employee health insurance works. Once you choose not to participate in employee insurance, you can only change that once a year, open enrollment in October, for coverage that begins January 1 of the following year. Or, if you have what is referred to as a qualifying event, change in marital status, change in employee status (part-time to enough hours for benefits).

In other words, if you don't choose it in October, Nuance's insurance (same as any other employer) will not be available for another full year. If you want and need health insurance, sign up in open enrollment in October.

If you change to full time employment with another company, that is a qualifying event, and you can then drop the Nuance insurance and get the other company's plan. But if that plan fails to materialize, you will again be stuck waiting another year for anything. Hope that makes sense.

I appreciate all the information but I have been with the company for a very long time and know the rules. I have never needed their insurance before but due to a recent lifestyle change do find myself in need. I am just waiting to make my decision until I find out what these new changes are and whether I want to stay full time with this company or not. Thanks for the info

Fewer audits, you say? Used to get a QA audit once or twice weekly. Now I get hammered almost daily, sometimes 3 or 4 at a time. Things that make you go "Hm-m-m-m."

That is how I used to be, I dreaded to open my email every day because there was always something, but over the last month or so there has been hardly anything at all. Which actually makes me more suspicious then ever of them. I completely do not trust them in any manner at all

Once they have knocked you out of contention, they move onto the next and the next and the next until none of us is eligible for the quarterly bonus.

They got me on several under 20 line reports and zappo.... I am now under 99.5%. Strangely it seems to be the same person who always gets the short reports and quite often ones that were sent to QA to begin with. Needless to say she will NOT be on my Christmas list.

QC has no choice either. We get audited on what we audit and if we missed something we get dinged just as hard as you if not worse from the auditors. I hate that you all think its QA peoples fault. Its not trust me. We have a quota to meet and a score just like the MLS and we do not get bonuses or even a chance at a bonus; so, we are all in the same boat.

you're missing something. This Fiesa change has been worked on and talked about for several months. It was originally supposed to start in June but got pushed back.

mom to mother on a VERBATIM account at every instance of dictator clearly saying mom? Is there something I am missing? I wish they would leave some kind of note stating why this was changed. I knew I shouldn't have looked at my FIESA from Saturday but I did.  Majority are 100% so for that I am grateful but THEN there are the others where you are marked off for stuff that make no sense and then there are the stupid errors that I did and will own up to and wonder where my brain was when I was typing - I think my brain was so worried about being marked off for every little thing that I honestly can't concentrate sometimes like I need to. ...

I know we complain and complain about this on here and we fight and argue with the TLs about this...I was marked off half a point for EACH blank that I left on a dictation that the tape cut out.  The only explanation from QA was that "it was clearly understood".  I am just wondering how it was clearly understood.  I went back and listened to the tape and sure enough where I had blanks, the tape was cutting out.  So why am I being marked off for blanks.  Then on a few ot ...

Just checked FIESA (which I loathe), and now instead of my blanks, which I put in because I cannot understand what the heck they're saying and don't want to guess and get points taken off my score, are now SOMETIMES being filled in by QA and I get points taken off!! Okay, first quarter FIESA reviewed about 80 reports of mine and I actually got my incentive.  Now for this quarter, I am wavering on not getting my incentive with a 98.88 and for the past few weeks they have not reviewed a single one of my reports.  I smell something fishy.  This whole FIESA thing is to a) review enough reports a quarter so you fall below 99 and then b) if you are below 99, stop reviewing reports so you are stuck there with no chance to bring it up!  How fric ...

our post-audit reports are randomly pulled.  If you score high enough to get the bonus, your reports are gone through by the hatchet queens in India until they can find a report they can "audit" to bring you below 99%.  If you are kicked back to 98.99%, they still meet their contract requirements to the client, and Nuance does not have to pay you a bonus.  ...

I almost always get my critical errors on one particular doctor who I think I understand and then it turns out I miss something.  I think there is a way to do a report on critical errors and see if I can trend the dictator but I can't figure out how.  Does anybody know?  And before you tell me to ask my TSM I did but as usual never got an answer. ...

We had management changes over the weekend for my new account and the new manager sent out e-mails today that we have to get new e-mails, must start using some probably crap butt IM program (I HATE IM!) and they insist that if your account runs out of work that you wait 10 minutes, then e-mail them then wait up to 15 minutes to see if they can find you some work before you can move to your secondary if that account has work.  Meanwhile that means 25 minutes of no pay time waiting around for ...

Much as I dislike FIESA and all this QA, what I really hate is finding out I've been typing something WRONG for 30 years.  The only thing I can say for myself is some QA decades ago filled it in for me and I didn't look it up.  Been typing Campo's fascia instead of Camper's fascia. Took a 1-point post-audit hit on it, too.  Shakes me up, what else have I been doing wrong for 30 years?  And will it knock me out of bonus territory next quarter... ...

I must admit, I never looked at FIESA, not only because it was depressing and humiliating, but its not the most user friendly site. My manager was constantly badgering me for not looking at it though and actually had me try to get on the other day when she called. How do other people get away with not looking at it? Just for "fun," I counted how many times I prevented a critical patient safety error today by catching the speaker saying the wrong age, gender, right vs. left, hyper versus hypo, you get the picture.  I quit counting at 8.  Never in my many years at Nuance have I made 8 CPSEs in 1 day.  So are we getting credit for the good work we do?  Not very likely. ...

Got a report back below 99%--Actually 98.7% with only 0.25 point reduction...for what?  Not typing DICTATION ENDS HERE on a report that only had part of the first sentence dictated....and I have to sign off that I reviewed this?  The report was sent to NHR for review with a note--INCOMPLETE DICTATION.  Okay, next time I type dictation ends here, but scoring this is ridiculous.  Why is this even an error--should have just been an  FYI--the report was never going to make i ...

I was having a good day, until I went into Fiesa...I have decided that one particular dictator--who speaks what he probably considers fluent English (He is American), is going to review for every report because he is the one I get poor scores on...
