TRANSTECH AS YOU CAN SEE BY THEIR NEED OF HELP, NEED THE HELP BECAUSE SO MANY PEOPLE LEAVE. THEY DO NOT SEND OUT QA STATS AS MOST PROFESSIONAL COMPANIES DO AND THEY ALSO DO NOT EVEN SEND E-MAILS FROM QA TELLING YOU WHAT YOU ARE DOING INCORRECTLY. THEY JUST FIRE YOU. DO NOT WORK FOR THEM. THEY ARE NOT A FAIR COMPANY TO WORK FOR.

I never had that problem. They are a very fair company to work for. - TTr - 3 yrs

They've always been fair and management bends over backwards for their MTs. Maybe you should have asked QA.

QA does give feedback, have been there 5 years and not fired. If someone is fired I can only surmise it was for a reason.....

I am threatened with being fired constantly by TT either for not getting in lines (which I run out of work constantly) or for twoo low of QAs (only have 97.8 and 96.9% and they required 98%)...have over 25 years under my belt transcribing level 1, very very large hospitals...my QAs come back with errors marked such as leaving out a comma...or inserting a comma,,or not putting periods in MD...when the month before I was told not to.they talk out of both sides of them mouths. Seems ironic all the medical terms/medications are spelled correctly... can be confusing....wish we had a transcribers union or someone to go to bat for us...Transcription, including verbatim is so so so gray.....not black and white like they want everyone to think it is

With those scores, how come you're still working there? You should have been - fired by now

My scores were always 98+ to 99%, then came new QA people(?) marking off just like you mentioned and changing sentence structure, which we aren't supposed to do on VR. If they keep it up, they won't have anyone working for them.

You are supposed to follow the specifications but VR is somewhat different, yet if you try to keep to the specifications, you're redlined and if you keep to the VR rules, you're redlined too, so you can't win. Nothing is in writing for VR so you're screwed no matter what you do.

I just applied and tested with them and I have to tell you that the grammar and typographical errors in the preemployment questionnaire were a big turn off. Didn't like the thought of having them monitor the time my hands were on the keyboard/foot pedal either, no more than 3 minutes to research something, and no inactivity longer than 4 minutes. Don't know if they're aware of it, but employees are supposed to be permitted two 15-minute breaks in 8 hours of work and at least 30 minutes for lunch, it's a law just like the minimum wage law. There were some good things about the pay, platform and accounts but I just didn't have a good feeling about the rest of it.

Got an e-mail from TransTech that the positions for the rad MT job posting on the Job Seeker's Board dated 3/6/2012 are filled, however, the posting is still listed here, so not sure what the real deal is. Heard a rumor that the CTL positions are being eliminated around the 15th. Perhaps this is a question you should ask your CCMs/area directors? Not sure if it is true but when asked specifically, it was not denied but there is something brewing around the 15th. Seems like all CTLs will be moved to the MME positions and the CCMs will assume the CTL duties. Sounds like another shake up at the Q which always happens around the holidays. Wonder if ...

Just wandering if there are any employee positions that aren't just editing out there. I feel like I am not growing as an MT doing nothing but editing. Unless I choose to just edit and accept this is the new norm at 3 cents a line, eventually getting my own voice recognition software for the future for any accounts I want to get on my own. Does anyone ever simply e-mail a resume to a company rather than completing the long, drawn out application they want filled out when you click the link to apply? I have 30 years of experience and do not want to spend time filling in information about every job I have ever had and why I left, where I went to school, emergency contacts, etc on their application, only to never hear from the company and would prefer just to e-mail a resume with a cover letter. I am looking for a true IC position where I can work when I am available due to being handicapped. It's been a really rough week. I work in a MR dept. There is so much favoritism & immaturity here. I'm trying to get my CPC & eventually my RHIA.
