In my ongoing search to find a job, I came across this company that I thought I would pass along. It is Northeast Transcription Inc. and their site says they hire new grads (within the past 6 months). You have to be able to stand on your own from the start - there's no mentoring or special support, but it would be worth checking into. Good luck.

Many thanks deadre. I am definitely going to bookmark this company as I will be graduating soon. I am very much worried as I read how hard it is for new graduates to get hired without any experience. Keeping my fingers crossed.

Northeast is now MD-IT and they do require experience. The only company that I have found that requires no experience is LETNI. I know nothing about this company other than they are out of Nevada but a job posting was listed on another MT site.

GlobeTrans in San Diego hires MTs without experience. They need to have the right equipment though.

Also, it doesn't hurt to apply to some companies even if they say they want a couple years of experience. You never know. They might be impressed with your resume and skills set.

If you really need a job, check out MQ. Everyone on this board hates them, but if you need experience, I say go for it. You can always quit later, it's not like you have to sign a contract in blood (though you wouldn't know it, to read this board).

Anyone considering MQ should do some thorough research about why they are so hated. Really, really do your homework on this one.

I did read the negative comments here but decided to give Inscribe a try anyway. I was hired Sunday 10/4 and told I'd be working Monday 10/5. I was offered a job recently with Nuance and offered a sign on bonus after 90 days of employment. With all the bad reviews and low pay according to a lot of people on this board, I was wondering if anyone has ever received a sign on bonus? Do they actually pay it after the 90 days? Some of these tests take hours and then no guarantee you will hear from a recruiter. I thought some of the crummier companies with large turnover might be the way to go for right now. Any suggestions? TIA ...
