Recent hires for Keystrokes - disenchanted

How long did it take from the date of signing your contract until you were assigned an account and were actually trained and then working? Are you getting responses when you try to reach your contact person? Did you have problems with the technical things getting installed?

This has been the most frustrating and slow process I have ever encountered.

I finally could not take any more of it and exited the process. It seemed like it was almost a game to demoralize you.

Not going to "demoralize" this MT. It just makes me realize I made a mistake. Better to learn this early on in the process than to put up with being treated in this manner for long. I don't waste my time with crap from people in any part of my life.

it progressively gets worse. I kept waiting hoping it would get better, but right now made to feel that I am not worth giving any time or effort. I feel sorry for any newbies who have high expectations working here.

The IT guy called me and said my computer was fine. I faxed all the paper work and then mailed. Have not heard anything! Just wondering if I should tell them I don't want the job anymore and how to do it if you can't get ahold of anybody?

pick an old email from them and reply to it. Then expect to get a reply about when your training class is, as if they had never received it. Repeat until goal accomplished.

They have not changed! Wait you ask? Your bills don't care. What goes on there? You will wait a long time and then anything goes. Sometimes you will wish you had not waited. Just don't expect much and you might be okay like the rest of us...just saying we have a jot and are not unemployed.

4+ weeks since I signed a contract and still not working for this company. First assignment was a technical nightmare and now it has been two more weeks with absolutely no response from anyone from this company. Who in their right mind would continue to try to work for this sort of company? This sort of attitude and treatment just boggles my mind.

I started 4 days after hire. If the first account did not work, maybe they do not have an account f - new KS MT

I heard that they hired close to 70 people at once. Maybe you should call?

I called repeatedly, e-mailed the person who was supposed to contact me repeatedly.

If KS hired 70 people in the last month or so, then they over hired and do not have enough work. Some of their people who have worked there six months to a couple of years or more do not have enough work. Shameful!

Not a company that I really want to continue to deal with. Over hiring and not having sufficient work, and not getting people on board is just not in anybody's best interest except for the company to have too many warm bodies.

On the account I manage, we needed 11 new transcriptionists with very specific skills. The HR team looked first at current employees before hiring. This is not overstaffing, not over hiring. There is sufficient work.

If you have talked, as it seems, to people who are unhappy with their volume and/or with Keystrokes, why did you apply? I think these posts are fishy, someone trying to stir the pot because Keystrokes is the only big company worth working for. I, for one, am grateful that they do not send work offshore and do not over-utilize VR.

The new MT's that started on my account are great and very much appreciated.

I had mostly positive input about KS before I submitted my resume. It has been since being hired that people I know came forward and told me their negative experiences. I was looking for a company who did not off-shore and who used minimal VR/SR.

I have a very well rounded background in basic 4 work, any work type, large university settings, as well as sub-specialties. I am by no means an MT who has only transcribed for a mere couple of years. The account I was originally hired for was a technical disaster. I was asked if I would work on another account, to which I said yes. I have been ignored since that point.

I wish I had landed on a team that was appropriate and had a lead that appreciates the people who works for them. You may have sufficient work for the people you manage, but this is apparently not the case for all the people working for KS. I am obviously disappointed, as I truly thought KS would be a good company.

My supervisor tells me today that her supervisor greenlit the hiring of 20 new team members for an account that never materialized. Genius... Who is managing this company? Is there NO COMMON SENSE? I did read the negative comments here but decided to give Inscribe a try anyway. I was hired Sunday 10/4 and told I'd be working Monday 10/5. I was offered a job recently with Nuance and offered a sign on bonus after 90 days of employment. With all the bad reviews and low pay according to a lot of people on this board, I was wondering if anyone has ever received a sign on bonus? Do they actually pay it after the 90 days?
