Remember the Charlie Brown special. Well this dictation sounded like the sound effect used for Charlie's teacher (wawa). Somehow Mmodal still expects 100% accuracy. I spent a good hour on this report, argh.

quit wasting time on pure garbage and just go through the report & do the best I can without wasting too much time on them. If they can't be bothered to speak directly into the phone, to eat lunch later when they're not dictating, to dictate in a quieter area without a lot of yelling and slamming, etc., then why should we be bothered to spend an hour stressing over it for a few cents? It's really not fair to us. If they keep getting back lots of blanks, maybe they'll actually try to make themselves be understood when they dictate. We're perfectionists and want to try and try to make it perfect, but sometimes we just have to throw our hands up & say that's the best I can do with this mess.

This report ended up looking like swiss cheese. I am expecting a nasty e-mail from my MIA HSDM asking why my line count is low.

RW has never been a transcriptionist. That is another problem with this company.

I did send an e-mail to my QC and she had no problems, but with RW that might not be the case. I am not even going to make the minimum 1200 line count today.

My prior HSDM would at least understand, since she had been an MT herself.

that pays the price for this. too many blanks and we get paid 2 cents per line instead of the 5 cents, that used to be 9 cents. i'm supposed to be working but all i can do is stare into space and wonder why bother. i guess minimum wage is better than no wage.

This last week has been tough. It is hard to be motivated when they never increase pay and on top of that they send e-mails saying we are never good enough.

I have been an MT for over 20 years and have worked at a few different companies. I am currently with DSG, and I just have to say, DSG seems to have the WORST dictators of any company that I have worked for. I work on 5 different accounts for them and it is all the same. Lately I have not bee doing well, short on line count, a few bad audits, I am in the dog house. I now have a fear that a I too will be let go. It is hard to work like this, wish I could just quit, but cannot right now, maybe in a few months, unless they terminate me. I understand the policy, 150 LPH, but sometimes I just cannot make it, dictators are bad, unfamiliar accounts. When it is good, it is good, but when it is bad, it is bad! I guess I will just keep plugging along until other wise :( ...

What if the extremely lower than ever volumes (OOW on 3 accounts at a time) is because some of the acute worktypes are being converted to ambulatory care WT since more and more patients are kept in observation status or "extended recovery" instead of being admitted. W(c)ould not some of those same-day surgery types perhaps be called ambulatory? We would likely be kept in the dark about that just like everything else, don't you reckon? I have worked for Nuance a long time ago. They had e-scription and it was the worst program i have ever been in. I had to check, check, and double check the demographics and God forbid if there was something i had to correct! By the time i got to transcribing, i had already wasted a half-hour. If it just me, or does Superior Global have the worst Supervisors and QAs? They all send feedback like crazy, no one is on the same page, they can't keep track of what is going on, beg people to work and pay them NOTHING. I have never seen anything like this.
