Sometimes I feel like the worst MT - mt

Lately I have not bee doing well, short on line count, a few bad audits, I am in the dog house. I now have a fear that a I too will be let go. It is hard to work like this, wish I could just quit, but cannot right now, maybe in a few months, unless they terminate me. I understand the policy, 150 LPH, but sometimes I just cannot make it, dictators are bad, unfamiliar accounts. When it is good, it is good, but when it is bad, it is bad! I guess I will just keep plugging along until other wise :(

I feel like your told of your problems but never with any kind of real concern. I am not a baby, but sometimes would like some human emotion...you no what I mean. It obviously is against policy not to make your lines, etc..but still. Just feel awful right now. Wish I was great at my job.

and I feel like I just started yesterday. I am tense all of the time. I am mean to my dogs because of this job. It is great being home but the stress is undeniably getting worse with each passing month. If we make a mistake, we can be replaced by a couple of hundred MTs within a week. This is real pressure. And, they'd probably ask for less money just to have a job. The dictation can drive a person crazy because the doctors are just doing their job, not passionate like once before. Fixing their errors and watching for discrepancies is a job in itself.

So don't feel bad. If you have a local hospital, apply there for any job available. Get benefits and your taxes taken out from a job that requires this much devotion. Right now, I am just bidding time until I can release my soul from this prison called my desk/keyboard. My hips are ruined from sitting even though I walk everyday nearly and my muscle mass at nearly 60 years of age is all but gone. I have devoted every holiday and weekend for years so have no social life whatsoever. I really am sorry I did not go to medical school; I have worked just as hard and been able to receive compensation for it.

To the person who down voted me. HOW DARE YOU! We are in the worst economy known to modern man. America and other 1st world countries are eliminating the middle class. The only ones who would down vote this disaster called a job is a recruiter or someone who doesn't need to have a job, are using it as a second income and could care less that we are working for peanuts under enormous stress to produce over 100 quality reports, 1200 lines a day with 1-2 errors. THAT IS IMPOSSIBLE for a human being working under the absurdity called quality assurance with dictation that is hardly even audible due to bad quality or physicians who find it amusing to make it difficult for us. Yes, amusing. 30 years in this business and I will tell you that this is now a sweat shop job under these conditions. Dare not call in sick or for a vacation, you'd be terrified every waking second of signing on 24 hours later to find yourself replaced or an e-mail with an attitude because we get very little respect at all. Christmas bonuses used to be a couple hundred bucks and now are a card if that.

There are some on here who just want to get a rise out of you and there are some who have no clue what those buttons mean. Someone may think that by clicking dislike, they mean it to be for the general situation, rather than disliking your post.

Did not and would not click the "down" button (am in same boat and totally sympathize with same feelings as OP) but perhaps the "dislike" was clicked because of OP's statement that she is mean to her dogs because of this. This miserable job (or any miserable situation for that matter) is never ever a justification to be cruel or take it out on our animals or kids. They are the ones that love us unconditionally and depend on us. No matter how dismal things are, to them we have to be compassionate.

I have accidentally clicked dislike a couple times. - And then there is no going back!

I used to be proud to tell people what I do for a living, feeling that I am worth something, contributing to the health care field. Now it is this silly work at home sham with hardworking people reduced to making barely enough to survive, being made to feel as if I am not intelligent or somehow slacking if I don't achieve ridiculous 99.7 quality. It's just disgusting.

I have been an MT for over 20 years and have worked at a few different companies. I am currently with DSG, and I just have to say, DSG seems to have the WORST dictators of any company that I have worked for. I work on 5 different accounts for them and it is all the same. We just need to get their attention. Most average people don't even know about the MTStars site..we need to change that. What if the extremely lower than ever volumes (OOW on 3 accounts at a time) is because some of the acute worktypes are being converted to ambulatory care WT since more and more patients are kept in observation status or "extended recovery" instead of being admitted. W(c)ould not some of those same-day surgery types perhaps be called ambulatory? We would likely be kept in the dark about that just like everything else, don't you reckon? I have worked for Nuance a long time ago. They had e-scription and it was the worst program i have ever been in. I had to check, check, and double check the demographics and God forbid if there was something i had to correct! By the time i got to transcribing, i had already wasted a half-hour. If it just me, or does Superior Global have the worst Supervisors and QAs? They all send feedback like crazy, no one is on the same page, they can't keep track of what is going on, beg people to work and pay them NOTHING. I have never seen anything like this.
