anyone get clarification on the 3 cents? sm - bj

Posted: Mar 09, 2010

anyone get clarification on the 3 cents a line we will be getting for ALL reports over 10% and later 5% or just 3 cents less a line for only the reports that get sent to QA?  Anyone know?

3 cents - anon

I was told it was 3 cents less per line for ALL additional reports sent to QA once you have hit the 10% and 5% thresholds respectively. So if you type long reports, it's gonna hurt worse.

Of course this is all subject to change at any time.

that is $0.03 per line less than - your base transcription

support to a maximum of 10% submission of total lines produced beginning April 1, 2010 and to a maximum of 5% submission of total lines produced beginning May 1, 2010. All lines exceeding these thresholds, as of the relevant dates, will be paid at a rate that is $0.03 per line less than your base transcription and/or ASR editing rate, whichever is applicable.

so guess no QA's, they will soon be out of a job or job title change :)

same as - bj

If you get paid 0.465 for ASR and you get docked 0.03 then that is 0.165 which is very, very low amount for what we have to do and how much acccountability that we have on our shoulders. That's why accountability and accuracy goes out the door when this starts.

I had originally thought they meant - sm

ANYTHING we submit, blanks or not, once we hit that 5% to QA, but my CCM said we'll only be docked on the reports that are sent to QA after that point. That's a relief!

It's sorta like this - GImt

An 8-hr shift at 150 LPH = 1200 lines; 5% of this is 60 lines you can send free to QA.

If you send 4 reports to QA totalling 140 lines you will be docked 140-60 x 0.03 or $2.40.

I believe they average this over the week, so at 6000 LPW, 5% is 300 lines.

If you submit reports to QA totalling 630 lines, you will be docked
630-300 x 0.03 or $16.50 for the week.

Until they change the rules again.

At least we're not MMEs.

scuse me, that's 9.9...my fingers are too big for this - GImt

stupid little calculator in my wallet.

yes we are - mmes

That is exactly what they did... they made us all MEEs! We would not accept the position willingly, so now they lowered our pay and we have to correct our own work.

Sounds like an MME to me.

If there are corp spies on here, could you please explain to us the math?  Obviously nobody understands it and there is a lot at stake here.  Do you sleep well at night, picturing all those posting here about crying, not being able to pay bills, losing 2/3 pay, etc.  Do you really feel good collecting your salary when you read all this?  Do you really believe the corporate propaganda about how this is a good thing?  Try walking in our shoes for a while.  Start out y ...

Need Clarification

I try to make corrections according to MME feedback, which sometimes is conflicting and makes me nuts.  I have a question about diagnoses/impressions.  I know dictated abbreviations should be expanded.  Dictated:  CAD with PCI and CABG. Transcribed:  Coronary artery disease with PCI and CABG. Corrected:  Coronary artery disease with percutaneous coronary intervention and coronary artery bypass grafting. PCI and CABG are not diagnoses, but procedures, so why woul ...

Clarification Of QC%
Dec 23, 2014

Has anyone else had a very high QC% these last two weeks? Mine has been off the chart, as in, higher than it's ever been and not matching what I'm actually sending to QC myself.  It also doesn't match what's in FIESA (which would also include files that go to QC automatically). Anyone else have this issue?  I asked my TSM and she said, "The percentages come straight from FIESA and what's being reviewed."  As in, avoided the question.  With them back ...

Okay, I got a ding today from my extremely sweet and helpful QATL.  It seems I did not send as a cc a requesting physician dictated.  I looked at the report and I did enter the requesting physician in the ADT and the body of the report.  I thought if they did not specifically request a cc be sent, then you did not.   Am I wrong?   Old dog needs help.  Also, I thought if the Req Physician was in the ADT it automatically received a carbon copy..  Hmmm.. ...

Dictate Express -- Some Clarification
