Clarification of QC% - CuriousMT

Posted: Dec 23, 2014

Has anyone else had a very high QC% these last two weeks? Mine has been off the chart, as in, higher than it's ever been and not matching what I'm actually sending to QC myself.  It also doesn't match what's in FIESA (which would also include files that go to QC automatically).

Anyone else have this issue?  I asked my TSM and she said, "The percentages come straight from FIESA and what's being reviewed."  As in, avoided the question.

With them backpedaling on the QA% for those who didn't have a file reviewed, I'm wondering what else they're going to have to backpedal on!

Yes, I have suddenly noticed a higher QC - submission percentage....

I don't normally keep track of what I send to QC (as it's usually pretty low thankfully, only because I'm on an account that allows 3 blanks, so I'm not bragging-I was on a no-blank acct before and of course my QC was super high). But yes, I did notice and the only thing I can think of is that YES the MANDATORY pends for CC's on this account ARE counted, as I had an unusually larger amount of dictators requesting CCs. Now every time I get that request I cringe, thinking to myself, here comes 7 cents a line! So messed up! And they weren't supposed to count, but they are counting them.

You are talking about post-audit jobs that already - SM

went to the client? That's what it sounds like to me. Any number of the jobs you send to QC can end up going to QA (post-audit, after the client gets it), but they do not necessarily end up reviewed by QA (India staff, for the most part). What they pick for post-audit QA is supposed to be random. See my post below. It is not random. Unusually high post-audit? That's because they take whatever they want whenever they want and look at it, score you.... And you can be darn sure that they will score you as low as possible and audit as much as they can to ensure you will get the lowest pay rate there is.... They have other motives for taking whatever they want (not randomly!) also. See my post below for that. My post has HOWEVER, in it. Read it. You won't believe it, probably, but it's true.

Not the OP here, but looked at your however post. sm - just wow

That is truly disgusting what they pulled on you. Glad you were able to get out of here.

No, I'm talking QC jobs. - CuriousMT

No, I'm actually talking about QC jobs. There are accounts which have automatic concurrent review (ACR) in addition to manual concurrent review (MCR). In other words, when you "pend" a report because it has too many blanks per specs, or whatever, that's sending to MCR. But there are clients which require ALL of their jobs to be reviewed by a second party (QC) before being sent to the client.

I just happened to notice that the percentage of QC showing up in Webclock is incredibly high and doesn't really match what I'm actually manually sending.

I'm wondering about the people who have accounts that all blanks have to go to MCR (QC), or that if you add a CC on a note it has to go, etc., are those being counted even though they said they weren't?

They might adjust it after - SM

They might adjust that percentage afterward because they can't really delete them, since they did go to QC. If they are not supposed to be counted, I would double check my QC percentage at the end of the pay period and then raise ++++ if they were counted.
Were not adjusted - CuriousMT

The percentage I was referring to was what was listed on WebClock when you go to approve your time sheet for the week. Per my TSM, whatever shows on there will transfer directly to your paycheck, which is why we are required to approve it (yet not really give the appropriate tools to determine if it is correct).

I don't know what else to do other than tell my TSM who has not been of any help.

A Great Clarification Of Buy-Out
Feb 04, 2010

Please see the following article from - I think - Business Week, regarding the buy-out of Spheris.  I think it should make us all breathe a little easier.  It seems to clarify that there are 2 separate worlds, and that MQ intends to keep its U.S.-based transcription entirely separate from CBay's India-based transcription: Spheris, which filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy in a Delaware court on Wednesday, already has two buyers lined up for the privately owned company: MedQuist Inc. ...

Need Clarification On Rules For Sending Cc's.. Sm
May 11, 2010

Okay, I got a ding today from my extremely sweet and helpful QATL.  It seems I did not send as a cc a requesting physician dictated.  I looked at the report and I did enter the requesting physician in the ADT and the body of the report.  I thought if they did not specifically request a cc be sent, then you did not.   Am I wrong?   Old dog needs help.  Also, I thought if the Req Physician was in the ADT it automatically received a carbon copy..  Hmmm.. ...

Dictate Express -- Some Clarification

There were some recent posts regarding Dictate Express and their rate of pay.  This is general transcription and the account I am on has very clear speakers.  A template is provided to use.  Granted, there were "gripes about their pay; however, the first report I did was a little over 900 lines, so if I can do 2-3 files a day, then that would make for a decent paycheck. ...

Shift Diff Vs CMT Diff -- Just For Clarification
Jan 02, 2011

Shift differential is applied to lines transcribed after, say, 6pm.  MQ's shift diff was 1/2 cpl for lines transcribed 6pm-midnight EST, and 1 cpl for lines transcribed midnight-6am EST.  Now, it appears MQ's shift diff is 3/4 cpl for lines transcribed 9pm-5am EST. CMT differential is simply an increased line rate, regardless of when the lines are transcribed.  It's basically a higher rate of pay for obtaining certification.  The shift diff would be in ad ...
