For those well-meaning posters who have brought to my attention that maybe it's me, not them, please listen to me.

I am looking for answers. I am not stupid. I use shortcuts up the yingyang. I work every single day on production tips for ASR. I am not holding myself back. I am working 2 additional jobs trying to get my foot in other doors to get out of here.

I am not new to all of this.

Wish I really could know who you are, what account you work on if, in fact, you are an MT/ME at MQ.

To all who have made serious suggestions, etc, thank you. I really do appreciate any help that is sincere. It really helps on the more frustrating days to know there are real people out there who care, even though we don't know each other.

To those you who think I just fell off the bus, get real. This is serious.

Just the fact that when I asked a few questions regarding line count, nobody could answer 100% sure, tells me there is a problem with how we are being paid. Think we should all ask for new contracts.

Those are the questions I am seeking answers to here, not whether or not I am holding myself back or am lacking good shortcuts.

I will help if I can. I have no clue how MQ does the line count. I just know that in all the years I have been here, what they tell me my check will be, it is. If they are shorting me, I would not have a clue. I know I was here back in the old lawsuit for shorting us lines, never knew they did it and got nothing back for it.

I know there are days where I cannot make 9 bucks an hour and there are days where I average 15 or more. Not sure what it is, besides the days that I make more, I actually get some typed jobs or more familiar accounts.

I dont think you are holding yourself back, in fact, I think there are a lot who post here who do not have to bounce from account to account like I do, or who get more transcription than ASR. I also think some people have a better relationship with their CCM and I am not sure what I could do to improve that. I have never been one to kiss a behind.

If there is anything I can do to help you, I will.

It's amazing how MQ can just start sending 2 paystubs with no explanation. I too have been withQ for 10+ years and am actively trying to figure out what I want to do the rest of my life because this is not it!

You ARE NOT stupid. You are smart to start getting your foot in other doors, it WILL work eventually, and will keep you from feeling trapped in the meantime. I ALWAYS worked additional jobs even when I was with Spheris, because that's the way I'm am. When Q took over and cut my pay 4 months later, took away the bonuses/Internet reimbursement, I was able to get more hours with another employer and go to PT with Q as I saw the wriging on the wall. After they cut my pay again, sent my account to India, I left to accept the full time position with my now one and only employer. I don't know what I want to be when I grow up either, but I WILL NOT be treated as I was at the Q. I was fortunate I had an awesome CCM (she came over with us from Spheris)or I probably would have left long before I did. It's not you... it's the Q. Keep on working on making your escape, you sound motivated, and that's what it takes. I feel so sorry for those who think they are trapped because if YOU don't take control of a situation, it takes control of YOU!

days just to read that there are people who also used to make $45k a year and are now down to $20k, even though we are still working 40 hours a week, harder, faster, more dedicated, and producing more lines. When I see everyone else at my age reaping rewards in their chosen profession, I feel I have done something "wrong." I come here for comraderie and to once again see it isn't just ME.

The recent ad onthe Job Wanted Board for Oncology scribes prompted me to check a couple of employment search sites. I was pleasantly surprised to see that there were many ads for, not just "Scribes" but now for "Scribe/Medical Transcriptionist." A few times already I noticed that Teamwork sometimes changes my times. Today I clocked in at "9:06" and I diligently wrote down the time as I always do. I have been an MT since 1986. I would like to know why the MT industry does not raise pay rates for MTs to keep up with the rising cost of living? Are we expected to just work longer hours in order to raise our pay? I see job openings offering 7 cpl! This is ridiculous! I have never made more than 9.5 cpl. It makes me feel better to vent on here. I'm so sick of QA. Now we are being marked off for blanks sent to QA. We were also told we could send the job to facility with 2 blanks. Now, I'm marked off for those. And, typing we will . . . instead of we have . . . I get that I got that wrong but is that one error worth a score of 98.2%. I am getting audited 5 jobs a day at least. This is FAR FAR more than ever before. I used to get maybe 1 or 2 a week. I am also noticing much higher dings on these audits. In the same report I got an error for not ADDING an and that was not dictated and then got dinged for ADDING an and that had been dictated. Is this verbatim OR NOT!!! Anyway, it just seems that there is a A LOT more QA auditing happening than usual. Just me??? ...

exactly the same on every report and you have put his ROS and PE in your abbreviation expander, but sometimes he will dictate something out of order. For example, the dictator still says the same exact things he always says, but sometimes instead of saying "EXTREMTIES: No clubbing, cyanosis or edema." He says, "EXTREMITIES: No edema, clubbing or cyanosis." Do you go back and change it or do you leave it since he is saying the same thing? And if you don� ...
