and I will say it again. Get out of Nuance! Stop being negative about this profession, describing it as obsolete and going to machines, etc. It is that attitude that will push this profession into just that, for good! I left in October. I see others who have posteod here who have left even before that. I found a wonderful small company to work for. I cannot put their name here, as at this time they are not hiring, and they would be flooded with resumes, which would not be fair. My point is, there ARE STILL GOOD MT COMPANIES out there. You have to search and search hard. I spent over 6 months applying, testing, interviewing, and even hired on for a few, before I found the right place for me. I see jobs posted now on other sites that sound promising. There cannot be another MTSO as bad as Nuance anywhere on this earth, so why sit there and wait for the final axe to drop, that is if it is the final one. I read this board and just wonder why anyone would want to give them any more opportunity to ruin their lives! Tidy up your resume, type a letter of application, save it to your desk top and when a promising job opens up cut and paste it to an email, taking a matter of a few seconds, and send it in! Watch the boards who post jobs, check them every couple of hours, as I found mine by seeing it only an hour after it was posted, and got my information to them only a few minutes later. I was contacted later that day and hired via phone interview! Please, please everyone, give yourselves a fighting chance as well as a Chirstmas gift this year, the gift of a new job, with people who still care about their team of MTs, who pay a decent line rate, who respect and appreciate you, and know how good it feels to wake up each morning looking forward once again to working in a profession that many of us have spent many years of our lives doing. I wish that for each and every one of you!
