My ccm sends out emails about her personal life to share. I do not know how far we can go on here but its about her expected bundle of joy in the not too far off future. To me it does not seem professional. The first time I saw the subject line I thought we were all getting a raise and then I thought wait, that would be wayyyy off here. What do you all think?

I think many people in our profession do now know anything about boundaries or business etiquette, and it is shameful. I agree with you--it is TMI and does not belong at work.

One QA supervisor used to send out regular updates on her son's medical condition in excruciating detail. Sorry for her but don't care. Am also sick to death of the rah, rah, yea team, thanks for your dedication emails as if we could spend that in the grocery store. Would just prefer if they were terse, professional and relevant.

and it is all TMI and irrelvant. Maybe if they were more employee friendly I would think different, but when I think of all the lies I was told here, pay cuts, and then I receive "good news" in the subject line of the email it is pretty nauseating. I wish I could say something to someone without identifying myself. The email about the son was way out of line also. Who knows maybe they think one of us will lend out a hand????

... Yahoo or Gmail using a fake name and send away. Let them know you are sending it out anonymously because you think someone should know what's going on. I've said it a *thousand times* - anonymity on the internet can be your best friend.

More than one email - old and burned out

Just as a note - there was more than 1 email about the son. I know his condition was serious and I'm sorry for any child that is that ill but I never met his mother, did not know the family and did not need a full, detailed update every time they took him to the doctor. When no one in this company cares about MTs who are on the bread line, why do they assume we care about them and their families? All these middle management (and upper management) company hacks need a reality pill, preferably in suppository form.

This is my opinion on CCM emails regarding personal, jokes, other non-work-related ones, etc. It infuriates me to no end when I've sent in requests, usually more than one, for information related to either work or me and I see emails from the CCM that is non-work-related. To me that's saying, okay, you had time to send out that email when you could have been responding to MT emails. Stopping here with vent -- you get the jest of it.

I have had no less than 3 "BS" emails from my CCM - about her upcoming "vacation" and how she won't be available, blah blah blah....meanwhile it has been a week since I've heard back from here on a very request.

I agree I would prefer to keep it professional AND I also agree with the oh tell me all this personal stuff that I could careless about, which my CCM really does not do. What is up about asking them a question anymore and not getting a response back. I have asked by CCM about 4 times the same question since the end of September and still have not got an answer to it. That must the the thing I do not know the answer of I am too lazy to find the answer out or I (CCM) screwed up and have to withdraw what I promised. Wow! I got off the beaten path. I guess some of them do the unprofessional emails because if you worked in an office you would know all of that who is having a baby, who is going on vacation, etc. Not saying I agree, but just a thought.

know you are serious about needing an answer, you will get one. You can say, I guess my previous email was lost but I need..... or I guess my email is flying around in cyberspace but I need... or my email probably got overlooked but I need... If they know you are not going to insist on an answer, why should they take the time to email you? Make a pest of yourself and you will get an answer pronto, guaranteed.

What irritates me about having to do that is that we don't get paid to do that, even though it is work related and we're having to do it because the CCM isn't doing her job. They need to do a First Time Right for CCM's!

do this but in real world you do what you have to do. And if they start seeing email is the same, hopefully they would figure out the c&p and realize you arent going to stop until you get an answer. Then it would be much easier to just answer. Or you could always ask ccm, Is there anyone else I could ask who might know the anwer. Betcha that will get you an answer.

My CCM also sends out life details. However, she is also very on top of things, answers my emails during the day literally within minutes and finds out things she doesn't know and gets back to me very quickly. Honestly, I couldn't have asked for a better CCM. I've gone through a few dozen and this is the only one that actually does her job.

That being said, I don't mind reading about her personal life because to me it shows she is just another person on the other end, but like I said, it's only because I like her.

Now, if she was a deadbeat CCM, which is probably 98% of the CCMs here at MQ, I'd have a problem with it.

Slightly paranoid about being audited now since I'm reporting NJA instead of working 24/7. It's amazing just how many reminder emails we get and how many minute details for each account. I'm forwarding to my email to have just in case I'm ever managed out and need to defend myself along with the good and sometimes bad audits I've had. I'm human. Don't make huge amount of errors, but definitely not perfect... ...

Just recently our QC sent out an email to an MT in our group for a HIPAA error and blind copied all the MT/MME in the BOB. This poor MT would never have known unless others came forward and reported that they got this email in error. Make sure that if you get an email it is only coming to you. I really hope she files a complaint with HR for shaming her in front of her peers. Don't look, don't share apparently does not apply to anyone other than MT/MME. ...

Does anyone else get XXX emails in their MQCentral email. I started getting it about 2 months ago and now everyday when I got in my email, I have at least 3 of emails to delete. I have accidentally deleted important emails because of this. I called support when it first happened as I saw it as a HIPPA infraction as I had assumed that MQCentral was a secure website. He told me that someone with my Medquist email address in their computer looks as these sites and that is how I've been getting ...
