Of course, we will all be on performance management for not making 150 lph, but maybe we will be 0.04% better.

There is NO WAY the offshore ILP are consistently passing the same quality audits, but somehow that keeps being ignored. I have to QA them frequently and could audit fail almost all of them. Ex.today I corrected "fever protocol" to CIWA...and this supposedly gone through their two other stages of QA...

I know for a fact that when they pulled the "first time right" garbage and put QA on production they were told quality would be an issue so they can shut up as far as I am concerned. I would ask your performance manager, "have you worked on THIS system on THIS production module before?" If they answer no, then i would polietely say "this call is finished as you have nothing to teach me". I am sick and tired of being "schooled" by people who CANNOT DO THIS JOB. I say let's stand firm and let them fire every one of us, then they can try to do the work! There is no fear left here for me, they have literally destroyed this job and now making MY money is my sole focus. To heck with their line counts, accuracy, audits, requirements, and policies too.... THEY CANNOT DO THIS WORK. They are counting on us being scared - stand tall and don't let them bully you. Performance management from someone who does not even do this work means what? A "note" in my file, an acknowledgement that I have been fussed at? BIG DEAL!!! Future employers certainly do not see that information, so it is all internal scare tactics and means zilch.

yet again because my "quality" fell to 98 something percent, by the way, exactly what I was hired for when I was acquired. My feeling is that if I suddenly can't do the job, then fire me; apparently I was doing just fine for over a year before all this nonsense started. Furthermore, how do you think you can raise the standards, yet lower the pay? Bottom line, if you don't want me any more, fire me. End of problem.

audited EVERY WEEK! This is happening to me right now. I won my audit challenge and now I am being audited every week and being nitpicked to death by India auditors, no less.

We've been getting emails from QC about weekly audit feedback in which she says if we didn't get a second separate email about it, then we were not audited that week. Ever since I challenged and won, I am now getting "audit feedback" EVERY week.

I know *exactly* who your QC is and the exact same thing is happening to me too. She is constantly telling us to challenge if we find something wrong but when I did that my audits came even more frequently.

Since I'm sure you're on my team, do you have any idea what's up with our TSM? She was supposed to be back last week but as of today she's still gone.

her procedure didn't go as well as she thought they would. Guess we'll just have to wonder, as we seem to get minimal communications from her.

And even then there is very rarely anything. I'm new to this team, I just got moved over with a group from another TSM when she and QC both got promoted. I'm trying to get into the groove of this management team but it's been tough. It's good to know someone else is having the same trouble.

Anyway, I hope our TSM is OK.

Do You Find It Faster To Use The Mouse

I know the "push" is to use the shortcuts but it takes me twice as long to remove my hands from the keyboard to reach the arrow keys and alt+shift or ctrl+shift than to just click where I want to go with the mouse. I was just wondering if it's worth it to retrain myself to use those particular shortcuts. I tried creating my own but they will not work in our system.  The other ones we have are fine but the cursor ones stink. ...

M-Modal - Anyone Found A Way To Make It Faster?

Wondering if anyone has been able to find a way to make M-Modal go faster or if it is just hopeless.  The software can be extremely slow and bogs down a lot, especially if you increase the speed or choose to optimize the playback to skip over blank spots (dictator not talking) in the dictation.  I increased the RAM on my computer with what my employer provided when we first switched over to the software, but it is still so much slower than our previous software.  Has any ...

I have been straight transcribing for many moons. Then got into doing QA and a lot of the reports I get are straight editing of speech recognition rather than doing QA. My production stinks when I do straight editing and have no idea how those of you that edit speech recognition all day make a living. Kudos to YOU!
