Two week notice! - Nana

Just gave my two week notice after notice of mandatory schedule change. Expect me to change my hours from 12:00-5:00 p.m. to 4:00-9:00 p.m. Not going to happen. Nothing like cutting off your nose to spite your face. Good luck Mmodal. Hope the person who replaces me can do the job I did.

Nope, not yet. She did send out an email a bit ago saying that her email is getting back logged because she is busy with mandatory emails, so doesn't have time to get to her emails. Lol, wonder how many are going to join me on the unemployment line.

Change it and make it worse. Im not going to quit. I am going to send a memo that I cannot change my schedule due to other committments that I have and have had since I got hired, then go on to work my old schedule until they fire me..end result, same, but Ill claim U/E

You're getting out of this company! Again, their bully tactics are losing ground and fast. MTs are fed up. Why didn't they ask first and then decide. If you can get your old schedule back, are you going to stay? Again, this is their fault, not ours. Why do we have to suffer and pay for their mistakes. It is bad enough with everything else and I just hope MTs keep on leaving, in droves due to their mismanagement. Let India do it, let them do it and see how hard it is to do this job. I only work PT and have had the same schedule for years and I have another job, so M*M is gas money and grocery money. If they change my schedule, I am outta here too. Just have to drive less and eat on the cheap, although with the gas prices now, it wouldn't be so bad.

My family member works in a UE office and I asked him about a mandatory schedule change. In my state, Employee could be turned down for UE benefits because Company offered the chance for Employee to stay employed (regardless how cruddy the schedule offered), but Employee turned it down. Your state's rules may be different and, of course, there are always exceptions to the rules. A quick email or call to your local office should help you decide how to handle things.

At least while your waiting to be fired, you can look for a job. I would bet people who give 2 week notice are the first people to run out of work.

I imagine they will be getting a lot who quit. They have hired a TON of new people though, lots of level 2's I am noticing.

I am doing it on the spot, no notice at all because I don't intend to work in transcription ever again! It is going to be soon and I will have much to say to them, not that they will care.

Good grief. I did not change the way I edit. It so depends on how many commas they think you should have. In almost every ASR report lately, there have been gross errors in the dosages of medications. In 1 report today, it had Colace 70 mg when the dictator clearly said 100 mg. Then in another report, it had Protonix 3 mg daily when the dictator said 40 mg daily. Watch your dosages closely!!!! Something is up! ...
