They Just Fired The Best Supervisor KF - Shocked

KF -- best supervisor -- worked harder than anyone I have ever worked with. Actually gave a damn about her job, the hospitals, the company, the MTs, and worked what seemed like 24/7 to prove it. I wish I could afford to quit in solidarity. What a truly awful place this is to work for.

I am sick to my stomach thinking about her being let go. She was the best supervisor ever and I cannot imagine what it will be like to work without her. She has been my supervisor for the past 3-4 years and she was AWESOME. As stated, she actually gave a damn about her job, the hospitals, etc. WOW! What is going to happen to us... :-(

She was the supervisor you would bend over backwards for because you knew she would do the same for you. She always answered my questions within a day at the very longest and seemed to be available 24/7 keeping track of the accounts and trying to get them covered. They have had to have drawn her name out of the who-gets-the-boot hat, because they definitely shouldn't have done it because of her work ethic. In nearly 9 years at this company, she was the best supervisor I have had, and I'm in a near panic to see what yo-yo we will be getting to replace her.

Do any of you in our group think that it sending a professional email to her supervisor to plead her case for them to reconsider would do anything? I would definitely do it, but I'm afraid it'll just pain a target on my back or I get canned outright.

I wish they would tell us their intentions, but I guess that wouldn't be a very wise business move.

I wonder how much US transcription MM, Nuance, iMedx have? What is the percentage? I notice there are a number of companies who post ads that say US only.

Do you think other countries will end up doing all of our transcription? What a strange situation.

What About QA for This Team? - Truly Unhappy With Turn of Events

Does anyone know what is happening with the QA? There have been no e-mails since our beloved supervisor got to say her quick good-bye. The one thing I thought was certain was that KF would be with the company for the long haul because she was so competent and probably the hardest working supervisor in this sorry company. How could I have been so wrong?

If they needed to reduce force, I'm sure there are many deadbeat supervisors that would have made a much better candidate for dropping. I'm sure there are many MTs who would love it if their supervisor was canned. This company really needs to evaluate who they are letting go before they let them go. They probably have a list of who gets paid the most or who is closest to retiring. Hey, I know! If they need money, pay cut the suits! No wait, then they couldn't afford their second home. I mean, how can one live off anything less than $500,000 a year?

Once again, Mmodal, you've proven yourself a bunch of idiots who have no idea how to properly run a company (except maybe how to run it into the ground).

I can relate. My Performance Coach, the best in the company was let go back in April. She was there for us always just like your HDSM. Apparently MModal has no regard for anyone who worked their butt off for this company or who cared for the facilities and the patient's behind the reports. My heart goes out to those laid off today. Hang in there.

An MT supervisor told me that when they aren't happy with an MT's work because they aren't following instructions or are getting sloppy, they just take them off the schedule.
