I do believe my supervisor keeps all the good dictators for herself. - miparanoid?

I recently started a new job and at first had a really good mix of good dictators, middle of the road dictators and bad ones. Just the normal stuff. It's a new account and I was asked to provide a list of the doctors who were good dictators, which I did. Now, after providing the list, I get none of those dictators on that list, and I mean NONE. All I get are the horrible dictators from hell, day in and day out. I didn't think that my supervisor also transcribed except from a couple of comments she has made recently. Now I'm starting to think that she is hoarding all the good ones for herself! How can I find out?

That has to be the lowest I've heard in a while. - Can you go to her supervisor?

If nothing comes of this to benefit you in this lifetime, just know that she will pay the piper at some point. What an awful witch!

...she may be giving them to the MTs that can't do the difficult dictators.

My other thought is (if you're not on ASR already), they went to ASR.

Another extremely likely scenario is they got shipped to India. They tend to give India the easier dictators.

I had the same thing happen to me, American company. I quit and returned to an online school to try to get with a better company. The "account representative" let me do all the junk one-line letters complete with address research then grabbed the consults. When I questioned her, my "independent contracting" position ended. Good luck - you will need it. :-(

Not that there is anything you can do about it. Worked at a place where the regional manager, salaried, kept all the opthamology surgeries (standard dictations you just save) for herself. You cant complain because her superiors most likely know and condone it.

in fact a Fourth of July, because I had to rush home from a party to get to work --- I got a whole load of ophth surgeries, all canned, plug in right or left eye and any variations, and I made 4000 lines that day. I sent the invoice and Guess What! Got fired & never got paid. She accused me of padding the lines. Any idiot could have seen that the doctor caught up on all his undictated stuff on the holiday. I considered going to small claims but it wasn't worth taking the time from my regular job. Lesson learned: Don't work for flakes and don't waste time working on the 4th.

A new ESL dictating a DS. Can't speed him up because he's too "new" (to this country?). He is spelling every other word!!!!!! An MT supervisor told me that when they aren't happy with an MT's work because they aren't following instructions or are getting sloppy, they just take them off the schedule. Sometimes they do it gradually and other times leave them with little or no work. They keep the work for the MTs who are doing the best job with the least fuss. Interesting. ...
