I was hired at a job and told I'd have paid training for 12 hours. We had trouble getting equipment set up for the first day and it ended up 1 day's training but being paid for the whole time. But I'm having a horrible time learning this job, essentially learning by trial and error and on my own. I believe after the equipment was set up, training should've started then. I had 100% QA for 2 weeks but don't think that was enough because of learning all on my own. Maybe they really thought I could do it on my own, but the corrections they had to make, I don't believe I was ready. For every report I typed, I spent 3-4 times more looking through papers to find an answer. That's even what I was told that 1 day's training would be enough, that all I needed to do was read the papers I was given. I'd have rather had the 12 hours and this wouldn't be so hard now. Now to decide whether to stay or keep looking for something else.
