POD flunked all QA measures for last week. - ha ha

99.5 not good enough. QAM getting more and more terrified about our minor error index. Gee... The big laugh, though, is all the minor errors she listed are not minor errors. They are a step above minor errors. I haven't been doing MOT because my hands hurt too much because of the number of corrections I have to make and getting there with either the mouse or keyboard shortcuts. Can we says overuse injuries???? Worse than straight typing. I would love to see the QAM do my BOB for a 40-hour week. Although, I have my doubts that the QAM assigned to our half of the POD actually has ever transcribed or does the QA herself. The effort I put in to try to get the report perfect just does not pay off apparently. Depressing to not be able to succeed no matter what. Guess I'm not capable of editing judging by the ways they find to nick the score. Never going to forget failing for there being an extra space between sentences! Spend too much time checking that too! I have been getting reports with all sorts of incorrect spacing between sentences and other punctuation. I wasn't on the atta boy list, but I didn't receive any failed jobs in my in box. So, good enough for me! I suffer fewer minor errors with straight typing. Unfortunately, all the speed seems to have been sucked out of my typing doing editing.
PS MOT fatigue appears to be a BIG factor too. nm - ha ha

I actually wrote and asked "Quality Questions" about the spacing in the Standards and they said LEAVE AS IS. What you wrote above, "Depressing to not be able to succeed no matter what" should be the MModal slogan. It fits perfectly.

[ In Reply To ..]I forget what it was now, something to do with dashes between some phrases. They were very specific, where to me, they should have just confirmed if I was right or wrong, instead they quoted me something in the manual, which I had already looked at and still was confused, which is why I asked in the first place. So to me, they have no idea either. Reason I asked is I got gigged for leaving out the dashes and then gigged for putting them in..Lose lose job here..I no longer care..

[ In Reply To ..]I am constantly seeing reports in the jobs search window full of manually drawn blanks rather than QA markers, which we are absolutely not allowed to do, but I guess that's how they technically show they have no blanks & get a pat on the back... If you really have no blanks all week, something is definitely wrong. They're only encouraging guessing, which is so ironic in the very same email they're complaining about quality. You can't have it both ways.

Good grief. I did not change the way I edit. It so depends on how many commas they think you should have. I think that would be the loudest message of all that we do not give a flying cr** about their "games" anymore.
