It has been several months since I had NJA. Sure has been nice. Sorry for those that do.

I am sitting on TOO MANY jobs and OT has been - going on forever. Come join our team.

dont get me wrong I love having the extra hours available to make extra money, but is mandatory and has been for 3 months now.

Gotta do an additional hour per shift. I am thankful that I have work though, so cant complain. Just wonder why they dont shift some of you around to other accounts instead of letting you run out.

Mandatory for 3 months!!! That is just unbelievable. Wouldn't it be more cost effective if they gave work to those who don't have it instead of paying OT - don't get me wrong it's great that you make the extra money and wouldn't want to take that away from anyone, but for it to go on for 3 months seems a little extreme. Nothing makes sense with them. Don't know why I even bother to try to figure out their psyche's - ha!

I have heard they are hiring. I wonder myself why not move those or temporarily add them to the accounts that have a lot of work.

Before you fill positions with new MTs, give the ones already there the work and if you still needed help, then hire.

can somebody please tell me how the QA system is fair? I have pointed out errors and had them acknowledged by the QA person on our team. The stuff is so inconsistent. I am in my THIRD month of QA and I've been doing dictation for 20+ years. My 'mistakes' are only in formatting and BOS issues and I get counted off for some things and when I change to what the QA corrects me on - i get QA'd AGAIN for doing it the way they corrected me! Doctor dictates: " He eventually underwent exploratory laparotomy and right hemicolectomy for a right (s/l colonic) abscess of unknown etiology." The patient has a left tibial plateau fracture.
