DQS stuck on downloading a job? - Just me?

Anybody else just have DQS stuck on downloading a job? Not that it matters much. I have been on the very edge of NJA this evening and don't think that will last long before I'm out completely.

I logged out and everything is working again.

they did the last maintenance thing. It will start to load the audio but gets stuck. Not on every job, but every 3-4 jobs. I opened a ticket for this and as usual, they do not wish to admit this is an MQ problem.

I have checked my internet and it is working perfectly. I did a defrag on the computer like they told me. I rebooted. It is still messed up.

Sick of these people who cant admit their stuff is broken.

When I signed on tonight I waited 13 minutes (yes, I was counting) before the first job finally finished downloading. The way the night's gone so far, I wish I'd gotten NJA!

Don't bother checking your computer. - It is set up like that by MQ.

I was told that by a QATL and CCM who are both no longer here. MQ will not admit it to us though.

I didn't get an exact answer why. But they both told me that.

I don't think it is every single client or service area -- just certain ones.

It is not our internet security programs, cookies, internet providers, computers.

It is done by MQ. Again, I did not get an exactly clear answer why, but was just told it is done by MQ, that they set up the way the jobs are coming in to us.

Well, I should add, I kept requesting new computers (I am on high speed digital cable, having no problems with my personal laptop or my own personal desktop computer). Finally on the third request for a new computer they called me on a conference type call and told me the above.

And that was it. That is how I found out. They could not keep up sending me computers when they knew the problem would not go away, and they knew I would just keep asking and asking asking for new computers.

The speed of the jobs coming in USED to be normal before CBay swallowed up our work.

And reading on here, and seeing how other people are getting jobs hung up --and downloading slow and uploading slow, I can see that my former QATL and CCM were telling me the truth.

The "fixes" MQ does has nothing to do with increasing/improving the American workers job flow/loading speed.

There are probably many more having this problem who are not even aware of this website as well as others who are just lurking, reading what we are saying to each other.

I've done all of the same fixes (defrag, disk cleanup, checked router/modem, rebooted, everything) and problem does not go away. It still downloads slowly. Everything else on the computer is running fine. It's a new computer (only a year old) so I know it's not me.

Update on that issue - huh?

Okay, this is what is up...

Emailed CCM. Not aware of any issues they say. Call support they say.

Called support again. Asked to defrag, etc. Did it. Asked what computer I had. Asked what virus program I had. These are all MQ stuff, and the computer isn't even 3 months old yet.

Now they tell me it is my internet connection. No, it most certainly is not. I have checked that. It is fine. They are blaming my ISP now. I have had enough of this.

I think I am going to look for a job outside of the house now. I can make more working at IHOP.

Anybody else sick of DQS sometimes taking forever to download a job and then being told that it is either our computer's fault or our internet connection?? My internet and computer has not changed since this started happening. However, it did start when they updated DQS, but, of course, that can't be the reason! ...

I'm baffled and wondered if anyone had any suggestions. I have received a file to download. When I download it, there is no sound. I was told that it was muted and that when it was unmuted it could be heard fine. I use The Record Player and Express Scribe and as far as I can tell, there is no unmute button. Hi Everyone! I am an IC who has been having problems with dictation jobs either partially downloading or not downloading at all. I am using Fusion player. I type in Siemens Syngo Workflow and it locks up also. My employer says it's my modem and just to reset it, which I do, over and over and over. Very frustrating. Just wanted to ask for help from other transcriptionists before I call Time-Warner Cable. Thanks a bunch! ...

I transcribe in Bayscribe and get dictation from BeyondTxT. For the past month, I have been having problems with downloading very slow and timing out, not being able to connect to BeyondTxT. Is anyone having these problems? Talked with NuanceTech Support and cable company. Getting to the point I can't work. Also, anyone have any suggestions for internet from other companies. The platform is giving me fits right now, as of 4 p.m. I download a job, it gets halfway through the download and tells me to either abandon or break, cannot download, this has happened to 4 jobs now. Anyone else having issues with the platform as of 4 p.m.? ...

can somebody please tell me how the QA system is fair? I have pointed out errors and had them acknowledged by the QA person on our team. The stuff is so inconsistent.
