I cannot believe how bad the output is today! - so sick of this

So much dictation is being left out! This despite the doctors I have done so far today have been excellent dictators. And, of course there are those little tidbits of added text. Yep, MM ASR - the gift from MM that keeps on taking (my pay).

I'm on a different platform, not Fluency, but I'm getting the same thing as you. Large blocks of missing text that I'm having to straight type for these ASR jobs. Not a good thing - but definitely this is becoming more of an issue... Could maybe understand with bad audio, but these reports are dictated clearly. So, how can this be explained?

It is due to the shameful performance by the IT engineers.

They try to blame the MTs for not editing, but from the reports I see when I look at previous reports, we are editing. Unless, of course, they are stupidly including the ILP editing.

Many programmers will tell you that SR is not ready for prime time, but MM doesn't care and instead, saddle us with the cost by taking away shift differentials and 40% of our cpl.

I am editing every little comma and every the, and or but and then ASR just drops off the screen for two or three sentences or a whole paragraph. I can hear it very clearly. It is hard to decide whether to go ahead and type like a professional MT or leave a huge QA blank.

I would leave a huge old blank. Not getting paid for ST and after taking pay away not going to type ST for crap pay. They can fix it. Its their problem, not mine. Getting fired for it? In my case, oh well...they get what they pay.

I finish the report, save it and then F11 it..When it takes more time to fix than type, they are gonna pay me full for it..and I write a note for myself in case they question me..You allow them to get away with this stuff and they will, continually..

reports, to save the original ASR output, I copy it all, then open up Word or Open Office and paste it there to use later. I've lost it just trying to copy it to the clipboard, much safer to paste it into something completely separate.

to a word document or an expander..you do lose all your QA markers,,so if you notice it is going to be bad at the beginning..Save it early and go through and fix it after you F11...or type it all the way through, whichever works best for you..

Now it's like:

"vitals temperature. respirations rate pulse 78, blood pressure , oxygen flatulation ."

And of course the 78 would actually be 70 because it ALWAYS reverses the 8 or 0, reverses he/she, etc. It's such garbage. Why is it consistently getting worse and worse?? I can type a sentence with my expander much faster than trying to arrow over to every single word and correct it. I'd say their evil plan to replace MTs with this software is failing miserably.

I was editing an operative report and the doctor was saying how they took the incision down to whatever part of the body it was, and ASR had put "down the road". I just had to laugh at that.

And the patient was not on aspirin, but has friends. Maybe that was better for them than being on aspirin, who knows.

Unable to log on because DQS needs to be updated. Then can't update on DocuManage because there's no link. They tell me they someone will call back and help me, but they have no way of knowing when. DQS is driving me crazy today. When I push the pedal, it takes a couple seconds to start playing. If I let off the pedal, it keeps going for a couple seconds and I can't get it to stop. The typing I am doing does not keep up with my finger speed either, with words not showing up until after I've typed them. I use my own computer and have never encountered this issue before. It is a major hindrance though, slowing me down. What's next? ...

Sad though because I wasn't offered anything PT (not that I would had taken it), and nobody said "we'll be happy to take you back". AND....no exit interview.
