I am leaving this company after 11 years. They are the worst place to work for in the world. I hate them more than anything. They don't care about their employees or their clients. I feel really bad for anyone starting with this company. I have never been treated so terribly by anyone. I could go on and on about the barely legal things that they do. Watch your paycheck very closely because they will confuse you and take every opportunity to rip you off whenever they can. I don't know how they get away with the things they do. Run really fast and get a different job. They suck!!!

I will find something! I have to escape. It is true. They practice barely legal ways of treating and paying their employees. I feel sorry for those wanting to stay here long term. I have a feeling the next thing to happen is that it will be sold to China and the quality of work will plummit further. I also agree with watching you paycheck! I ended with 36 ASR jobs yesterday, had it all logged in my log book, and 15 regular transcription jobs. Today 11 jobs are mysteriously gone? I can't even find them by IJ number! This happens regularly. Beware! This company is out to rip you off and keep you in poverty! Good luck None! I really, really wish I could go with your right now, but soon enough I also will get out.

Everyone should check with their doctor and if they sent their work offshore, they should refuse to go there. We need to get the work back in the USA! We are not uneducated people. We paid to go to school to learn this profession and we have to have major skills, yet we are lucky we get minimum wage because by law that's what they have to pay! SR sucks big time and it is more work than typing it yourself and knowing what you typed it correct. I am so overjoyed to be out of here and going to a company who is going to pay me for my talents and respects me as an employee and a person! No one should put up with this company any longer. Keep looking and it doesn't matter how old you are. There is a comp y out there that will appreciate your skills and reward you for them. We need to put this company out of business. I know for a fact that a lot of the clients are very unhappy with them also. I wish I could do something to help all who are struggling with this company to wake these people up and make them see what they are doing, but I am sorry to say that I just see it getting worse and worse. Until they are gone, if you work for them, you will never be happy. Life is too short to live like that!

[ In Reply To ..]Remember the law suit some years ago regarding MQ cheating on MT lines? The settlement went to ADHI. When I felt jobs were missing, I immediately called customer support and track the report down and ask them who opened the job and who closed it. In 4 years with MQ, missing jobs only happened once or twice and it was when MQ went down or I missed the deadline for those Saturday night deadlines, (once at 12:01)for maintenance.

[ In Reply To ..]I think it depends on what area you are in and your CCM. I am in an excellent BOB with good accounts and good CCM. I have never had a problem with my paycheck (I do check it every time due to other companies cheating me) and I am basically left alone to do my job (not so with other companies). The only time I hear from anyone is the daily backlog, weekly tips from quality person, and when I email a question, which is answered promptly. This company is far better than some I have worked for in my opinion but, again, it is the service area and your CCM that make all the difference. I came back to MQ after trying out 3 other companies and finding out the grass is much browner on the other side.

[ In Reply To ..]The last two CCMs I had were absolutely wonderful. They fought for me, and the last one told me in a phone conversation that management is "unyielding." I know they pushed me to the brink because of my line rate. I was with the company for 17 years. They tried everything to make it miserable, and finally they won. . at least for now. Somewhere it's recorded what went down. Paybacks are hell. I am glad at least for now that you have it so good. Hope it continues for you.

Don't dilude yourself into believing that you are because at this particular time in your work life you have it made. At any second it could and most likely will turn.

[ In Reply To ..]It took some time after I quit to let go of some of the anger. Because of them I find myself now living off of (or trying to) social security. I applied for disability after being threatened with termination by MQ, and thankfully was awarded benefits. I was trying to hold on and still work to be better prepared. I pleaded with MQ time and time again for time off to rest (much pain) with NO PAY. The answer was a flat NO. I couldn't go on any longer. Worked all my life as an MT and went out this way. They won't work with you. They are the lowest of the low, hands down. GET OUT. Good luck to you.

[ In Reply To ..]Fortunately I have never worked for MQ, however, the "word" is out that they are NOT the people to work for--former transcriptionists I have worked with have had to work LONG hours for LITTLE pay--and yes, they grab all the $$ back they can--from your pay due to their idea of "errors!" I would NEVER consider working for such an organization--they are BAD NEWS!

All they care is about how much money they can put in their pocket! That WILL blow up in their faces some day for sure! I will be on the sidelines saying...I told ya so. I am over them and moving on, but I have a lot of anger towards how I was treated! It will come back to bite them. You can only do this to people for so long. Start the day with an email slap in the face, again, because they do not know how to manage people. Negative reinforcement never works. I finally had got enough 100% post-audits to overcome the critical error that I had the first week of October to bring myself up over 99% and they found 2 critical errors in 1 report that brought me back down to 98%. I type a lot of crap, but just had the worst doc I think I ever had. Had 11 QA markers so I sent it to QA thinking they might actually LIKE getting some work since they are about to be history. Anyways, this bi*ch marked 2 CRITICAL ERRORS and did an audit on it (which was still 96.5% in spite of everything I am glad to say). QA you wonder why we have such a bad attitude? I spend a lot of time typing for a huge university hospital clinic with no ADT. Have to type in all patient information. Almost every report is a LETTER. Referring physician has to be typed into the ADT. Then the letter recipient information has to be typed in and lo and behold have to re-type it into the cc list for the doc to get a copy of the letter. I wonder why I can't run a decent line count? Don't you just hate it when you've got a dictation that is so fraught with static, and it sounds like the dictator is 100 miles away from the phone, but you actually can make out the words, just barely, and you'd love to leave all blanks because it's such a chore to hear any of it, but you can't, of course, because you can make it out?
