Did everyone get the latest email about DocQ 5.16 update? - MTfossil

Talk about micromanage! Are you kidding me? We will be locked out if we don't work our exact shift? There has to be a 15-30 minute grace period. I am surprised that there are not a flood of posts about this on this forum already.

I about fell off my chair when I read this. I am very good about working my shift, but sometimes start 10-15 min early or 10-15 min late. Gosh, sometimes get stuck on the potty in the morning for a few extra minutes.

This, on top of the QA submission nonsense, is almost too much for my 60'ish mind to handle.

Next, they will be sending out comptuer cameras for MT Week so they can visually monitor us while working, or perhaps they will send us a lifetime supply of Foley caths.

I am so angry I could spit. I am in my 4th decade of MT'ing, and only have 4 yrs until retirement, so am too old to change professions and can't afford to shell out a fortune for Cobra for the 3 months it would take for new insurance to kick in with a new company.

What do you, my fellow downtrodden MTs, think of this latest stunt?

The email does not say that.

It says you cannot work if you are NOT SCHEDULED without getting a schedule exception.

It says nothing about not being able to log in during your scheduled shift.

My CCM told me it will just not route jobs to you. - You can punch in, but no jobs will come to you.

Jobs will only be routed to you during your agreed upon work times/days. They won't route to you before your starting time and they won't route to you after your quitting time.

Not sure what they are going to do if they need extra help.

You have to be right on the nose.

Again, I don't know what they are going to do when they ask us to work different shifts because of NJA, either.

I guess maybe the CCMs will have to start working for their money, changing things in the system? Could be. OUCHEY for their brains.

is too long to finish right on the dot at the end of our shift, or if it is just shy of the exact minute we have to clock off. What about sync'ing our computer time clock with that of their Timeclock? Mine doesn't match so it's always a guessing game as to what time it shows I clocked in and out. This is humanly impossible for us to do.

I really didn't at first believe everybody on here that was saying they are trying to drive us out, but I'm coming around! This is just about all I can take of this place!

Working at Michael's, Joann Fabrics, Movie Theater, and a doctor's office sounds much better for me. Had enough with their CRAP!

I wish to God you all wanted a Union back when CBAY was buying us out. Either Union or this CRAP!

Was trying to be a trooper about the pay cut announced yesterday, but this may be "it" for me. What about a doctor's visit or teeth cleaning? How do you make up your time? By having to get Supervisor to change your schedule? Good luck with getting a response from them.

I must have much smaller hands, because I cannot reach the keys in the manner described for the right hand. Unfortunately, I already use the other tips and use the right + left hand for shortcuts, and only thing that makes any difference is the quality of the output. I don't use the DQS expander. Holy Crow....I knew there were changes made, but didn't think that everything changed. Nothing on the screen looks the same, starting with the log-in screen which is the only thing that looks simple to use. There are stupid panels everywhere, top, bottom, left side, right side, and the poor text screen is kinda squished in the middle. It looks waaaay more complicated than how it is now. Hi everyone I just wanted to stop by really quick and let you all know that finally, FINALLY I am off QA. I was given two accounts today in addition to the one they had initially given me. I can now type w/o counting my reports and waiting for feedback first. It remains to be seen of course, whether or not there will be as much work as I was told but so far, this company has been true to their word. Still, four days on a very restrictive QA protocol was quite scary. I am a LOT grayer now ...

Well, all the rumors are starting to come to pass with dear SGS (Superior Global Solutions). I "WAS" in QA until yesterday. They either fired or demoted 7 of us so far to MT status. If it is true that our MT corporations are profiting with VR the same as if we were transcribing, well to me that's picking my pocket......So then why isn't AAMT (or whatever) going to bat for us 'editors' and set standards so that companies will pay us our fair share? Just a thought. Wouldn't it be nice if we were told by our companies that from here on in, VR will pay as much as transcribing? pipe dreams huh? ...
