Change from SR report to total transcription - newbie

How do you switch from a SR report to a total transcription file. I am transcribing more than I am editing on this report and, in my opinon, should be paid to transcribe and not edit.

F11, but it will delete everything - you already typed too

Has to be done at the beginnin of the report and you have to fill out a Remedy Ticket if you do F11.

What is a remedy ticket. Sorry, I an a recent draftee from Vanbelkum and we have not had a training session on the proper protocols of remedy tickets or anything else to explain why we do things.

well, then I would send your CCM an email - explaining why you did F11 and

Then I would ask about "remedy."

Remedy is where you report no work, or problems with computers, or use of F11. There is a website and a password that your CCM should give you.

Hopefully you are on the same platform as me, or I am leading you up the wrong tree! Sorry...

You can F11 at anytime in the report, simply copy and paste - what you have in wordpad..see msg

Copy and paste into word pad and then hit F11 at anytime in the report. It delete everything, but you simply just copy and paste it from word pad back into the report, I've done it several times.

Also I never report F11. Unless you are a "chronic abuser" I dont think its necessary. Nobody has ever said anything to me about not reporting it and I do have to use it occasionally, though not often.

If you don't report F11 in Remedy, how do you get - lost

F11 automatically converts it to transcription rate. The idea of reporting isn't to get the transcription rate, it's so they know WHY you F11'd. There aren't a lot of options in Remedy for F11'ing. Unfortunately, they don't have the most common reason people need to F11, which is it's a bigger fatter mess than the other ASR reports.

If you have the option of being paid the transcription rate, take it. The parasites running this company have no qualms about living large off your labor, and you should likewise have no qualms about grabbing some of it back. The introduction of SR was little more than an excuse for cutting wages in half. The amount of work required to edit is the same if not more than that required to transcribe. If anything, the monotony of the new task should have merited a pay increase. This whole "ticket" business is little more than a scare tactic, another attempt at controlling the workers so that the owners can continue to milk the US workforce dry, until they can send all of the work to India, where they can exploit the workers to an even greater extent and further add to their pile of ill-gotten riches. The worst they can do is fire you, in which case the only thing you'll have lost are your fetters.

telling people that forever and usually get some people telling me they hope I get caught and fired, they are going to tell their supervisor, it's okay if I want to get fired but their not going to F11 because they need their job. These are the same people that are causing the company to get away with paying these lousy wages. If everyone would F11 all that garbage, they are not going to fire everyone or send all the work to India, but people want to continue to be scared and continue working for peanuts.

It is collective action that will bring these people to their knees, but the problem is that in a field like this, where the workers are dispersed all over the country and have few opportunities for organizing, the owners have the upper hand and the scare tactics are working. The story is a similar one for many other industries. Things will unfortunately have to become much worse before people start to wake up and recognize that the situation is only going to change if we band together and refuse to be enslaved.

Are we allowed to do this? If so, I would like to change them all!!! Been with this company a decade. Pay keeps getting lower with SR and work is twice as hard. Made more when I first started working and watched TV. No more TV with this thing. Just wish the pay would go at least back to the $17.00 EHR I was making!!!

That you can get in trouble for excessive use of this, and you are supposed to fill out a ticket each time. I would not advise this as it could risk your job. Some may get away with it, but I would not chance it and risk my job (but thats me).

gave me 10 bad reports a month, then I would only have to do it 10 times. Everybody would "get away with it" if everybody would start doing it and letting these people know that they are not going to accept those lousy wages. I don't even waste my time putting in a ticket (but that's me).

trying to prove anything. I'm just saying that I, along with others that do it, aren't going to accept the lousy wages and if you accept it, you are part of the problem of the lousy wages. You go right ahead and do what you want to do and we that won't accept it will continue to get paid fairly.

This seems crazy asking this while taking the final exam, but this layout seems spitefully incorrect. A few chapters back, it stated "going forward with the course, transcribe the report layout exactly how the dr. dictates it". In this final exam, its an operative report and she has the pre-op and post-op diagnosis' at the end of the report! Should I put them at the beginning where they have been with all the other reports we were given? So confused! ...

of course, most of the lines are VR but, I totaled my lines and the amount of $$ I made. Then I took the amount of straight typing lines I used to do and x by 8 cpl. I have more lines doing both straight and VR, BUT less pay. I averaged 1200/1300 lines per day working usually 6 hours (no set time schedule, just a mandatory "full-time" amount at old job). Can someone please explain to me how the "total system hours" are calculated? My manager is always complaining that there shouldn't be a big difference between your hours clocked in on Webclock and your "total system hours" in Enterprise. I am wondering how they calculate these as I know it is not the time that you are clocked into Enterprise. I am transcribing an Operative Report for a left total knee arthroplasty. In the Description of Procedure he is talking about the patella tracking and he states: The knee dis patella measured 22 mm in thickness. Is the word "knee dis" correct? How does this total system hours work I see on the timesheet now? It is way under my scheduled hours. Can someone please explain this to me? Shouldn't it be even with the hours I worked/am scheduled?
