Just had a doc, total stranger, never typed before, - who told me he hoped
Posted: Mar 18, 2011I had a great weekend. It was so nice. Takes so little to make me a happy camper anymore.
I know what you mean, - MT

I have one doc who routinely states his appreciation for doing his work, and never fails to take the time to say have a wonderful rest of the day, or have a fabulous weekend. It takes just just a second to dictate that, and sometimes I listen to it a few times because it is just makes me feel good. I wonder if he realzes just that simple act of kindness can have such an impact.

I also enjoy hearing a dictating physician say pleasant phrases such as "thank you for your help" and "have a wonderful day." I have worked at the hospital with several physicians like this over the years and they truly bring joy to all of their patients, staff, etc. My kind of docs!

Yes, it is very nice when someone acknowledges the fact there is a human being working for them on the other end of their dictation. I would appreciate that too if it ever happened. I am not going to hold my breath waiting for that though LOL!

A Perfect Stranger Jul 30, 2010Yesterday I had my appointment for a a haircut and color. I was sitting in the chair, and a woman two chairs down asked where I worked. She said I looked familiar. That, of course, was not the case. We got to talking, and she said she was a transcriptionist 20 years ago, and she was trying to break into this field again, but no company would hire her because she had not done this work for so long. She asked what company I worked for. I told her I q ...

Sparring With Total Strangers. Nov 25, 2009I am used to people acting professional on these boards.
I suggest, to all of you who like to slam people that are total stranters, to at least have the professionalism to address others on this board with some respect.
Hearing acidic remarks from total strangers doesn't invite a professional response.
I thought this was what this board was about.

Total System Hours? Jul 24, 2012Can someone please explain to me how the "total system hours" are calculated? My manager is always complaining that there shouldn't be a big difference between your hours clocked in on Webclock and your "total system hours" in Enterprise. I am wondering how they calculate these as I know it is not the time that you are clocked into Enterprise. I am guessing that they are somehow able to determine when you are actively working in Enterprise--typing, listening to audio, etc.? The thing that c ...
