Been on vacation, now can't look up backlog - MT

How do we get into check the backlog? Mine is saying account inactive. I saw a message below about it, but didn't understand the reply.

They removed our codes - sm

During the last upgrade about a week ago they removed our backlog codes. They said there were too many and it was bogging down the system.

So we cannot look it up anymore at all? - Just one more thing to make this job worse.

They just do not want us seeing how much work is actually there - when we supposedly get NJA

It never failed that when I got NJA and checked the backlogs there was plenty of work, somebody just had to route it via helper pools or whatever. So I guess now we have to "take their word" on it that NJA means NJA. Kind of like how speech recognition was going to double our income and we would be getting raises.

New program for backlogs, and only available to TSM. My TSM sends out backlog reports a couple of times a day. I think TSMs are supposed to be sending out backlog reports to us.

Of course, along with the backlog is a notation to make sure we work our entire shift.

My TSM was actually surprised when I mentioned to her that I noticed some accounts that had jobs but I was getting NJA. She explained that these were "exception" accounts and that I was not supposed to get them, but then questioned why I was able to see them. Guess what.. I still can!! Oops!

I put in a request on Teamwork for my vacation about a month and a half ago. It still has not been approved. Are we supposed to email CCM with vacation request also? I've been in this business for 30 years, but am under employed at the moment and am starting to get bored to tears with having so little work to do. But, it seems that all of the ads that I see are looking for full time transcriptionists. Surely there must be some companies or MTSOs somewhere who would need an MT to help with part time or per diem work, to help with vacation coverage or maybe for temporary work just to help clear up an occasional back log and such. I was wondering how it's done. I have two days a year when I'm not available to work because of a family reunion. Since most of the fun doesn't start until after 12 but we have to be there very early because of the committees we're on, I hate to waste that time doing nothing when I could be working. We've been having late work for 4 days out of every week for awhile now with our TSM calling for OT constantly. The funny thing is, all the accounts that I'm familiar with that are late are ones that do not send overseas (as an MME, I know because I QA the ILPs). Do you think that these hospitals refuse to send overseas and that MModal is going to say that the work was late because of lack of qualified US MTs, and that they should consider sending offshore? ...
