Actually I did explode in e-mails. I didn't feel happy or sad when I quit. Just mad. I did feel better though and not so hurried. My kids noticed the difference. They like mom's attention all evening. I'm more relaxed now.

Yes, today I got a call from VP. I told him everything--that FTR is horrible and that no one should work in a job 15 yrs with no raise in over 8 years and make less than the day they started. I told him that we feel like all the cuts come from us little guys and without us, there would be no income and that I thought it horrible that the 401k was no longer being contributed to. I also said I felt like I was just a number and I hated that every week I would get emails about working weekends but we never got holidays and if we wanted to take one it came out of one of our 5 PTO days, plus when my mother passed away last year, there was no "I'm sorry", let alone a card and that I had to use PTO or make up my time--that is a damn shame and so heartless. I told him that my personal life has been very challenging in that after mom died, many other stressors happened in my life in addition to taking care of my own children and that I am sure I am not alone, that many of us work from home because we have things that need taking care of, whether it be children, parents or even a disability. I also said that FTR was the final straw--that I bet no one sends anything to QA anymore because they will be penalized and I resented that if I typed one report in excess of 500 lines and had one single question,I would be penalized since my usual weekly line count was 5,000 lines. I hope what I said does not fall on deaf ears--I really hope things get better for the rest of you.

I can't figure out why they want to talk to us now. Why should we waste our time giving them information about how to make the company a better place to work? How would we (the ones who quit) benefit from talking to him? Go figure. They are really out of touch with their employees.

I was glad to get it off my chest. There was nothing they could offer me to come back--I am much happier now--don't have to ever worry about weekends, holidays or constantly running out of work. Not to mention, I highly doubt they would have returned me to the rate I was making before the pay cuts--even at that I am 8 years overdue for a raise--no way would they give me that.

I am tired and frustrated from applying and sending out resumes only to be ignored. It is like a game with them, I think. MedGarde even has an interview which has absolutely nothing to do with your skills or qualifications. In fact it seems like psychological testing to see if you are mentally competent or something like that. I am considering requesting this pay which (depending on the state) considers us to be on-call and must be paid for part of our shift if no work. I have had it up to here with Nuance and running out of work, adding more and more accounts and STILL no work. An account manager sent out an email suggesting that we monitor our emails on our weekend days off, and then log on to help if requested. Am I the only one who expects to not check emails or work during my one weekend day off? Even though I have a required schedule, should I expect to work 7 days a week in this industry, including on my days off? Does anyone have experience with being on call, whether you have to be paid for on-call time? My husband works a job in maintenance and they just recently cut their hours back to 32 hours per week, having them off on Fridays.
