A community of 30,000 US Transcriptionist serving Medical Transcription Industry
Here is some of the "corporate talk" I got in response to some of my questions - you can all decide how honest it is! (She said with a smirk!) I notice I am still without work as are many others! Oh well, I might end up getting the axe in the near future - but I voiced my concerns and, yes, this person looked up my anniversary date and said "congragulations for all your years of service and thank you on behalf of the company"! Not putting my entire email in here or all the answers I was given - but thought the 2 following paragraphs would interest you all.
M*Modal continuously reviews how we may best serve our customers and achieve better efficiencies in functions, systems and resources. As a result of those reviews, we consolidated the workloads in a small number of books of business to ensure a more consistent workflow to the primary MTs assigned to the book of business. A small number of MTs (primarily part-time employees) were affected by this consolidation.
Is all the M*Modal work going to India?
No, this is not a geographical issue. This staffing adjustment is focused on distributing MT workload appropriately in the US to increase efficiency. This action, affecting a small number of MTs, is part of our mission to continually maximize operating efficiencies. Although not related to this action, M*Modal is continuing to grow worldwide, and our strategy is to grow and service customers with both US and Global resources.
