two weeks notice - marie

I put in my two week's notice and am now locked out of the system..........its this an usual tactic for MTSO services? My boss asked me why I was quiting and I told her the truth, I got a job outside of transcription. What gives?!

I don't put anything past any MTSO.

To anyone who is wanting to quit, make sure you have used up all your PTO--don't count on them to cash it back to you. And no, don't expect them to let you use your last 2 weeks with them as PTO when you give 2 weeks notice.

I had given 2 weeks notice and did not get locked out, but I would not have been surprised if they did.

For all its worth you at least did the right thing. You should post the name of the business so no one gives a notice and maybe one day she/he will get caught in a bind.

If you have health insurance through your MTSO, whatever amount you have paid into the insurance is still good, I believe until the end of whatever month you quit, since it's sort of paid in advance. But check on that.

I know I have even had outside companies outside of MT to screw you over like that if you give notice. Like they almost want to get back at you or something. Plus I have found if you're not willing to do VR they definitely hold that against you and try to get rid of you. You're supposed to be happy with that cheap pay I guess. I've got so I oftentimes think it's best not to give notice anymore. Seems it just doesn't make any difference. If you give it, you get screwed some way.

call the new job and tell them you're available early. I've never had anyone say, "No, thanks, we really wanted you to start later rather than sooner."

That's why it's best not to give any notice at - all until YOU are ready. ;)

Wouldn't it be nice to see us all give our 2 weeks notice at the same time. McDonald's workers can go on strike, but we can't. We don't even get minimum wage, so they have to give us MUP. Do you think it is necessary to give 2 weeks notice if I am ALWAYS out of work. For example I should be done with my 8 hour shift in an hour and I am not even half way through the day due to being out of work on my primary and ALL of my back ups. Worked here for over 20 years. Been MT of the month 3 times with pay raises only to be grandfathered in to lose my raises and have the same pay I started working for this company. but accounts in my own BOB, I started getting ALL non-BOB today even though apparently there was plenty of work on my primary.
