i transcribe for a local physician and get paid per patient (and not very much!) instead of by the line. i've been doing this for a couple of years now and just cannot get used to not being paid by the line.....it's like i just eat, sleep and breathe by the line!!! and i cannot even get the physician to even try to understand how being paid by the line works. needless to say, there is a huge discrepancy in pay between per patient and lines and even more so when i've transcribed 800 to 1200 lines a day, which i consider to be a fair amount of work and which my brain senses as "done for the day!", it sometimes is not even close to being all of the patients for a day transcribed; so.....i guess i was just needing some encouragement maybe or something.....and i haven't felt good at all for the past few days (flu-type illness) which is adding to the way i'm feeling this morning. i am very thankful for my job though because it does provide a steady income and jobs are very hard to find! so anyway, just thank you for listening!
