Woohoo - last week as an MT - so excited

Gave my notice last week. Just logged on this morning and am so excited to think this is my last Monday as an MT! Went shopping for clothes and shoes yesterday - sooooo ready to get back into the "real" world, working for a company that respects me & appreciates my skills, a place with a future, a company that observes paid holidays and is closed on weekends, a job with raises and bonuses -- I cannot wait! Thanks for letting me celebrate a little this morning :)

I got a job working as a customer service agent..I just take calls and messages and if no calls I just sit there and read a book (I love to read!) and get paid for it! I also had to buy a new wardrobe after wearing jammies to work for 17 years but this fall I will be able to do this job from home! Congrats to you!! I am glad to see other people have good things happen after what we all have been through in this industry!

I'm still looking after being laid off a month ago. Needless to say I'm not looking for anything in MT. Today I had an interview at my vet's office.

I also found something outside of MT work. Been 25+ years in this biz and decided to make the leap after my 4th buyout last year by an overseas company. I'm scared to death to leave the only thing I've done the majority of my adult life, but also so excited to have a job that is never going to be sold out and work shipped elsewhere.

I quit my job due to health issues and my stress level has gone way down. I worked for 8 years here and it was okay. There were tough times, but it was mostly okay because my TSM/CCM left me alone but were accessible if needed. They answered my emails and phone calls (even though there were about 5 or so different ones through the years). It was just aggravating when good accounts would go to ASR. But, I don't have to worry anymore. Hope things get better ...

Good grief. I did not change the way I edit. It so depends on how many commas they think you should have. I really think the easiest way to send MModal a message would be if everyone, and I mean everyone, just did not participate. I think that would be the loudest message of all that we do not give a flying cr** about their "games" anymore. You want to appreciate me, treat me like the skilled, knowledgable, MT that I used to be paid a living a fair wage for. Bring back a real incentive, bring back shift differentials, give back an actual end-of year bonus, etc. ...
