Who does general transcription? - seeking supplemental income

I was contacted today with a potential offer to transcribe general work as an IC. I have yet to find out out if they pay by the hour or line, their definition of a line, etc. This is a new concept for me as I've always been a hospital employee. Recently contacted by a local church pastor to transcribe some sermons for him to make into a booklet form. (Maybe 3 to 4 hours worth of work or about 160 minutes). If you have a doctor that dictates a procedure, very clearly, and you can actually spell it, but it comes up misspelled in spellcheck. So I go on google, look in all my books, and benchmark (can't help it I am anal) and cannot find that exact procedure. In this case it was dictated as an "otomy" but all the references had is as an "ostomy" do you leave it as "dictated and spelled," do you change to the correct form which is the "ostomy," or do you leave a blank?
