that pay $11-12. Jobs that look like they'd be fun too. Right now I make more than that, but it can't last, and the moment it stops, I am going to try to get one of those jobs.

I did pizza delivery back in the day - for Pizza Hut. They paid

hourly (min wage), gas allowance, plus tips which on a good Saturday night could easily add up to a couple hundred bucks. Plus a free mini pizza during your shift, plus take home or eat any "rejects" and take unused dough for making bread at home. Job was a lot of fun and comraderie and good exercise. The shifts just flew by.

Never in my wildest dreams would I have ever thought I would actually miss my pizza delivery days. *sigh*

I made quite a bit of money and same thing as far as free meal, leftovers to bring home, etc. I did quite well and enjoyed it. I truly did.

and greed at corporations that has been slowly creeping up on us for the last 30 years. I wouldn't be surprised if Pizza Hut now makes it extremely hard for their employees. I just saw a program last night about Papa John's pizza, pizza I always order, and guess what? "John" is one of those who has told his employees that if Romney does not win, he might have to increase the price of his pizzas 15 cents each, which apparently translates to a bad thing for the company, according to him. He is grouped in with those who are sending letters and emails to their employees saying that there could be a loss of jobs if Romney does not win the election. Guess we were all asleep at the wheel during the past 30 years and it has now become just blatant. We can't put our heads in the sand any longer. Good luck though, maybe I am wrong about Pizza Hut.

Romney is the outsourcer!! How can we be helped if - he runs the country. People are just crazy now.

Check out phlebotomy jobs. Some places require a certificate, some might not. Pay is decent. Easy to learn.

a year's worth of training, intense training, and phlebotomy was a part of that training. It was not that easy to consistently stick someone's arms all day long with a chance of missing the vein and causing injury. It was not for me, but thanks for the suggestion. I am not one for direct patient contact.

Don't forget the tips! Easily add an extra $5 an hour.

And if you use your own vehicle, they pay you extra (beyond wear/tear and gas).

The doctor hasn't called me yet to talk about it, and I have no idea whether he's equipped for digital transmission or not (believe me, I will do my best to talk him into it if he's not). Just curious if anyone thinks that's a good deal. And ad states "mini" cassette tapes too. I did that 14 years ago and couldn't fathom going through it again.
